When you read the book they don't make it clear to start with which one is black and which one is white and it is a shock to realise you have stereotyped them and think the one from the rough background is the black girl and the one from the posh affluent background is the white girl

Did anybody watch episode 3? It was slated. They said the book was quite a good psychological thriller, but the problem was with the awful adaptation by ITV.

I am wondering whether to bother watching this final episode now, as I haven't been too enamoured of the first two.

Yes, we saw it, Rodo, and it was excellent. We didn't know the book, so we didn't know the twist at the end of the story, and we didn't see it coming!

I saw the Telegraph rubbished it, but I don't agree with their critic's assessment. The review even rubbished the filming location, saying it was filmed in Eire on the cheap! What that's got to do with the price of bread, as my old Mom used to say, I haven't a clue!

We thought that The Ice Cream Girls was one of the better series of late. Better than The Politician's Husband, to be honest.

Just my 2c worth .... :D

Hubby and I just discussed this and decided to go ahead anyway and watch it tonight.
I know what you mean about the critics' reviews. Sometimes they are good, but sometimes they are rubbish.
Thanks for your view anyway.....we will definitely watch it now.

I thought it was a good episode on Friday but I was convinced the killer was someone else.

I read the book quite a while ago so maybe I am wrong but MM thought the same (see her post).

Has anyone read the book recently and can tell us what their ending was?
