Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 21 Sep 2023, 05:02

Good morning.

30° forecast so I'll have an early swim. 8-)

Dad's cousin (Robert) funeral has been arranged for October 5 so I need to get flights booked today.

I started reading Lynda la Plantes four book Detective Jack Warr series yesterday and I'm hooked so will be poolside with my nose in my kindle.

TV tonight. Ambulance and a new series about Picasso. :D

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

Cooler this morning and we have rain forecast :Hi: Just watching the news and it's chucking it down in Lisbon

We plant to plant a couple of yucca's this morning, well, hopefully four or five of them, but will see how many we can get in before the rain.

Making red onion chutney this afternoon.

Chuck everything out Saundra, apart from the basics. That's what I did before we moved. Much easier.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Sorry you have to come back for a sad reason, Al :( (((x)))

Saundra, a good sort out? :) xx

Hope you get your Yuccas in Jan xx

It's a lot brighter here today - I knew me putting my summer shoes away would bring the sunshine  There's something wrong with our car, Mick has ordered a part which should come today. I'm going food shopping with D, and hopefully the car will be ready by tonight as it's Pilates. If not Emma will pick me up.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast, we've had rain and more's forecast throughout the day

Love Lynda la Plante's books Ally, the Jack Warr series is good.
Don't overdo it Saundra.

Both appointments went well yesterday. The physio chap was very pleased with Ed, he's told him to stop the exercises he's been doing and given him 3 new ones, much harder, and expects to see more improvement when he sees him again in 3wks time.

When we stopped off at San Clu for lunch between the two the wind was blowing so strongly we had trouble actually staying upright. Just as well we were able to park close by or we could have been blown out to sea :o  Funnily enough it was still quite warm.

Off to Westwood Cross for our usual M&S dash. Plan to stock up a bit as I don't know when I'll be able to get over there again for a while. Not a huge problem, I can always do an online order with Ocado if necessary.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Five yucca's in :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Got a little damp, as we had some mizzle, but carried on, as you do

Just cut them off the main plants and straight in the garden. Just need to water them every day for a few weeks now.

Yuccas are fab as once established they need almost no maintenance.

Says me who hates gardening and has someone in to do it.

They get called Spanish daggers here as the tips are lethal!

They are, really nasty things. I get stabbed all the time, when cutting them back. Should really wear chain mail arm coverings and head covering

Spikeys, we call the plants, not yucca's
