Morning everyone

We've had rain :Hi: Not a huge amount and we're supposed to have more, but looking outside, I doubt it

We also have sheep, happily eating what was supposed to be our bonfire

A quiet day for us, we're both a bit knackered after a lot of physical work over the last week or so. Will happily pootle around the car port and I've changed y mind about the turning circle. Grumpy has made it far too big, so moving stones around.

Stuff out of the freezer for dinner, making it easy :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody,

The sun is out but it is only 19C.
Going to the chemist to get a prescription. Will then do some gardening. Lots of the plants are dying and there are weeds. If it stays dry will mow
the lawn this afternoon. Last time this year..

JanB you should get a turntable like they used to have on the railways. There are still some in use on the heritage railways.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :D

Another bright sunny day 8-)

Up extra early as we've got an appointment to have our Covid booster. We weren't due to have them until the 7th Oct, but if the op goes ahead as planned I won't be going out for a few weeks. The plan was to have the flu jab done at the same time, the surgery didn't know when they would receive supplies so I doubt that will happen today.

Afterwards I'll probably drive Ed into town as he's in desperate need of a haircut. While I wait I'll have a mooch in Waitrose which is opposite the barber, saves a parking charge and gives me an excuse to find something nice for lunch ;)

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, a very gloomy grey one here.
A bit of drama last night, around midnight we had three police cars at the end of our road, two of them with the flashing blue lights on. They appear to have stopped a red car with a young man and young woman in it. I think they arrested the young gentleman. I'm dying to know what it was all about.
MrsC has gone off to Leeds with our daughter and grandaughter, shopping.
In a bit I'm off for a paper and something for tea.
Have a nice day everyone.

Oh my word - this day last week, it was wall to wall sunshine and the temperature went up to 26 degrees, I was wearing a little summer dress and flipflops. Today - miserable, raining now, with a very cold northerly wind and it is 12 degrees  I’m wearing jeans, socks, a top and fleecy hoody. We went out for a walk earlier, lucky to get out before the rain, and I was sorry not to be wearing a woolly hat and gloves! We’re settled in for the day now, plenty of sport for Edward to watch, I’ve a book to finish and a jigsaw to work on. Strictly starts tonight, we think we might watch it this year as there are a few people doing it who would interest us.

Afternoon all, it’s dull here but dry.

Went up the Chase with John and Andrew from across the road first thing, I think I was supposed to be cheerleading while they did Parkrun but I walked Bill for half an hour through one of the valleys instead. After we’d got home we had our normal Saturday walk on Hednesford Hills.

Tom’s gone into Birmingham and Joe’s currently heading for Manchester. Without me  It’s his friend’s birthday, he’s a United supporter but has never been to a proper league game so Joe asked a big favour, if he could use my ticket. I’m not nice enough to graciously say yes of course he can, instead I begrudgingly said it’s a one off never to be repeated.

Have a good day all :)

Afternoon everyone :)

It’s D’s birthday so we’ve been out, taken her round the Outlet shops than for a meal at Greek On The Docks - absolutely beautiful food!! We bought her a pedestal table for the patio, one you put plant pots on. Just got back here to D’s for cake and a cuppa. It’s a bit chilly here, quite autumnal.

Love to all :) xx
