Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 07 Sep 2023, 05:56

Good morning.

Sunny and a perfectly lovely 29°. Normality has resumed.

A swim then get ready to meet a friend at 11 for breakfast. :D

I'll get a few bits from Mercadona whilst I'm in town.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Lovely morning, pleasantly cool and 29C for us later too 8-)

Outside after coffee, cutting back more lavender and also gorse, so gloves on this morning.

Treating ourselves to a cooked breakfast this morning, bacon, eggs, bangers :D

<And also going out for dinner :Hi: :Hi: Castro Verde, for a change, not been there for years, due to covid, so looking forward to that.

Hope E is now fully recovered Osc xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ally and Jan, and all who follow :)
27° forecast here.

There was a lovely cool breeze when I walked Bill. We seem to have had rain overnight which has left spots of what I assume is Saharan sand on all surfaces, sure I saw a headline recently about some heading in this direction but I didn’t take much notice of it.

The washing machine is on, that won’t take long to dry on the line so hopefully I can get it ironed before the sun hits the utility room.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, another gorgeous morning here. I was tired after my day out yesterday, was in bed by 9.30pm and slept through until 6.30 this morning! So good to have memories of a special day with Michael, I don’t often get time with him on my own. Edward has gone for a walk and just sent me a photo of himself with my friend L who is home from Boston. When she called around the other day, he wasn’t feeling well enough to be sociable so I’m glad they met, as they are very fond of each other. I have a wash on, hope to get it out on the line. Kellie will be here this afternoon, her first time walking down from school on her own, another step forward in her growing up, wish I could slow it down :( Need to pop out to the shops for a few bits, after a general tidy around.

Morning everyone.
A gorgeous one as well, warm and sunny.
I've just dropped MrsC and her sis off at our son's house, shortly I'm of to get some salad bits for tea.
Osc, that is nice that you spent some time with your grandson; and you must have needed that sleep! Glad to hear that Edward is on the mend.
Enjoy the lovely weather everybody!

Morning all :D

Scorching here 8-)

I've been up since 6.30 as Ed has his post op appointment today. When you book transport they tell you to be ready for pick up 4hrs before your appointment, but he usually gets a call from the driver the evening before to firm up a the actual time. Not this time which is a first so we were getting worried when he hadn't turned up by 8.40. Anyway I rang the call centre and he was running late, he finally turned up just after 9am. Fingers crossed the traffic isn't too manic and they get there on time. Not the best start to the day!!

Popped over to M&S as soon as they'd left, only just had brekkie.

News from my sister. They were travelling for 48hrs so both exhausted. Sue saw her GP as soon as they got home yesterday afternoon and went to hospital this morning. More xrays and a CT scan, she's in a 'proper' sling and has seen pain management. No immediate surgery, but she will see the fracture clinic next week. I'm gutted I won't see her, but getting back home was the sensible thing to do.

Hope you all have a good day xx

>Glad your sister is now home, but so sad for you both xx

Change of plan here, both jiggered and really can't be bothered to go out, so I've taken something out of the freezer for dinner.

Got rather hot digging up the lavender, but I'm impressed with what I've done

Now going to put some salt down, to stop them growing again. And the gorse bushes

Grumpy has just nailed the last of the roof timbers on the car port :Hi: :Hi: Just need a roof now, and sides
