Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 04 Sep 2023, 05:38

Good morning.

After yesterday's pathetic rainfall it's forecast sunny and 31° so I'm off for an early 10km walk. :D

A swim later and generally pootling.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Safe journey for your sister Jen and I hope it's as comfortable as possible for her. xx

Good morning you two and everyone - happy Monday

Ally, enjoy the walk and the pootle day
Jan, assume you still need rain where you are so enjoy. That back terrace must be a god send in this kind of weather
Cruiser, depending on timing I'll try mow my lawn this evening after work

I'm about to head into the office, will be leaving here around 9ish; a quick pop into the allotment to water some plants and then catch a 10am train. We're expecting an amazing week weather wise so I'm going to try take Thursday and Friday off so I can do things at home. But it's typical isn't it - schools go back and the sun comes out to play

Have a lovely day all and safe travels to your sister Jen x

Morning all :)

Those temps are creeping down slowly then Ally :D xx

Hope you get that rain then Jan :) xx

Safe journey to your sister Jen xx

Ours will need mowing when we get home, Cruiser. No point asking Becky to do it, our petrol mower is a swine to start, and only Mick can get the better of it :cute:  xx

Ria, that's why we go away this first week of September, as generally the weather is really good ;) xx

Not sure what we're doing yet today, we walked our legs - and Fraggle's - off yesterday, so might find somewhere to go in the car and take it a bit more easily 8-) Beautiful weather again :)

Have a good day everyone xx

Oh yes, lots of it would be good.

We were chatting with Mitch and Joe the other day and remembered that we had rain every day for three months  about 2009   22 December for three months :Hi:

Not all day, every day, but some really heavy rain, every day.

Could do with that again now. That would fill up our reservoirs

Good morning all, it’s another glorious autumn morning, and we are due to have it for at least one more day. I’m going to the mobility class at 11am, and after that I’ll get some petrol in preparation for my day out with Michael on Wednesday. Then I absolutely have to do some ironing before it flows out of the utility room. That’s the basic plan for the day.

Morning all :D

Lovely sunshine 8-)

We were up early as our GP was scheduled to ring Ed sometime this morning to discuss his blood results. Just off the phone with him, he wants Ed to take iron for a few weeks and then get tested again. He thinks the lower than normal count is due to his op and I think he's right, Ed did look like a ghost for the first couple of weeks, but he's looking much better now.

He also spoke to me about my Hba1c results. My count is up, but only just in the diabetic range so he's agreed to let me continue managing it and I'll have another test in 3mths time, but if it's still up I will have to seriously think about metformin. I'm okay with that, don't want to start new meds this close to my op.

The garden rubbish gets emptied tomorrow so I need to get out there and do a big tidy up. It's going to have to wait till later this afternoon, it's too hot right now.

Thinking of my poor sister, she's got a flight to Heathrow, plus the flights back to Oz. Think she will be completely rung out by the time she gets there. It's all so sad, she was so looking forward to this holiday, she said it would have to be her last big trip, money, age and so on. I can't see us being able to get over there so I doubt we'll get to see each other again, feeling quite sad this morning.

Hope you all have a good day xx
