That wasn't how we planned it

Left home in plenty of time to get to the doc's before 8.00.

Had a puncture

Paulo wasn't in (he's a breakdown driver and lived a few feet away from where we'd stopped. So I rang Jose Felipe, as he was working on David and Rita's new extension. He very kindly came out and between the two of them, they changed it. A nail in a new tyre

Got to the Centro de Saude and Grumpy was the last person admitted and it was only 8.15  I left him to it and went to Aldi, drove back and sat in the car for an hour, reading.

Got fed up and went in to keep him company, but Maxine (a friend) was in there and we were chatting. Didn't realise the time, but she apologized when she came out, as she'd been with the doc for over half an hour

Grumpy went in, I left him to it. Got his medical, no worries, but the funny thing on his face now has to be cleaned twice a day and he's to go back to see the nurse next week. And she gave him his tetanus booster  Had a mini medical too, all okay.

There is a cycle race through Ourique too today, so a lot of the roads are shut

Got the spray and got home at 11.45, both of us starving

Rained off and on and it's quite windy too.

Well, that’s brightened my day! We have tickets for the Irish Open golf Pro Am on Wednesday. It’s always a fun day out, you get to see golfers and celebs close up in a relaxed atmosphere before the tournament proper starts on Thursday. We brought Michael last year and he loved it, that was in June. This year it has moved to September. It has become obvious that Edward won’t be able to go so we have been trying to decide what to do about the tickets. I asked on the family WhatsApp if SIL would have use for them or any of his friends. To my great delight, Miss Osc replied that Michael has a half day on a Wednesday and this early in the year it should be no problem for him to miss a few classes, so it’s going to be a Granny and Michael day :D

Have watched the race. Saw the cyclists go over the humped baxk bridge over the canal on the down hill road leading into the center of Wigan.
It s the Leeds/iverpool canal. I usethat road when I go for a peicure. Not ice when you met an artic at the top of the hump. Youcant see it asyou are going down.

Ally, have seen there is a warning of very heavy rain in Madrid. Good meather is forecast here for the next few days.

Well, no. :?

Rock hard earth after so many dry months and the rain water just bounces off it.

Saw the news tonight and it was completely sunny and blue sky.

World gone mad.
