Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 01 Sep 2023, 05:49

Good morning.

Hot but a nice 32° heat hot.

Conor got his 6am flight to Valencia. It's only 70 minutes flying time and as I type he's on his way to breakfast .

Us two are going for a Guadalmar walk and getting some food shopping on the way home.

I'll watch last night's Masterchef on iPlayer and have a swim at some point.

Friday beers and tapas tonight.

Have a great day.

Continued vibes for E Osc. xx

Morning everyone

We have a few clouds around this morning  and rain  :Hi: :Hi: forecast from Sunday for a couple of days :Hi: :Hi:

Hope E is feeling better Osc xx

I've been persuaded to accompany Jan to the coffee morning this morning  so I'll take a load of books and bring some new one's back. Not my favourite thing to do on a Friday morning, but it gets me out of the cleaning

Grumpy is going to wash both cars - the Alentejano dust  - and do something or other to the car port, which seems to have come to a halt, which I'm not happy about.

Doc happy enough with my eye, this one will take longer to settle, apparently  We didn't leave there until 7.00 and he still had three people to see

Ordered Grumpy's glasses, 39 €, so he was happy.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

The temperature is creaping up. It is 20C this morning. There are stil someclouds but the sun is out.

Will have to get my sea legs out as I am going sailing today. It is oly a cruise on the canal from Barton Grange. We will also have a fish and chip lunch.
No alcohol on board so we cannot splice the main brace.

Second time this year I will have been on a canal trip. I must be a glutton for punishment. It is a very enjoyable method of seeing the countryside and wildlife.

Have a good day everybody.

Hello all and good morning - happy Friday!

Hope you're having a fab day / walk Ally - enjoy Masterchef and as always enjoy those beers and tapas.
Hope the coffee morning wasn't too awful Jan and fingers crossed the car port gets a move on ;-) and fingers crossed you get that rain. Yay for the eye!
Cruiser enjoy the canal trip - I think it's a fab way of seeing the country side; so calm and relaxed
Osc, hope E is feeling a bit better? How are you holding up?

Busy start to the day for me - Sainsbury's shop for the usual chicken veg and other bits and bobs, and then had to drop Ava off at the vet for her ultrasound and xray's. Fingers crossed they can figure out what's going on with her :( Now logged on for a bit then at 2pm off for a nail appointment :D and then some point this afternoon back to the vet to pick up Ava

have a good day all x

Morning all, it was wet when we got up but the clouds are clearing away and the sun is appearing. I have put a wash on but plan to do very little else all day. We are trying to get back in to normal eating today so had our usual breakfast. Edward is still very tired, his torso is still vaguely yellow but his eyes look better. He has gone back to bed now. Still bad tempered  I might paint my nails later, oh the excitement!

Morning all :D

Rain first thing, dull and overcast now, more rain forecast I think.

Enjoy your walk Ally.
Glad the doctor is happy with the eye Jan.
A canal cruise sounds lovely Cruiser.
Busy day for you Ria, hope all goes well for Ava at the hospital.
Glad to hear Edward is looking a bit better Osc xx
So pleased you had a lovely day with Scarlett yesterday Saundra.

Had a call from the hospital yesterday, my heart sank when I heard Matthew the schedulers voice. thought he was ringing to say my op had been cancelled. Luckily. in his words, he was having one of those days, he didn't mean to ring me, the op is still on the list for 25th. Of course it doesn't mean anything is definite, but I did tell him that much as I'm happy to talk to him, I'd prefer not to hear his dulcet tones in the next few weeks  To put that into perspective, Matthew was the person who had the rotten task of calling me the 5 times my hip op was cancelled!!

We over slept a tad this morning, means I'm a bit behind with the washing  Expecting a delivery from Sainsbury's this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon.

Nice to hear you're getting some more bearable temperatures Ally. Enjoy the rain Jan!
A canal trip sounds good Cruiser. Fingers crossed that your poorly pussycat gets sorted Ria.
A quiet day isn't a bad thing after you've had a busy one Saundra :) . Jen, I know that feeling with a medical phone call.
Osc, tell Edward that the doctor says if there's no improvement he's going to have to have an ice cold enema, then watch him buck up!

We've been to do the weekend shop, taken some ironing to our daughter's house and now mrsC has gone to her uncle's to take him his shopping.
May go out for a coffee and bun this afternoon.

Have a lovely day everyone.
