It's not coming home then.

For the chaps here

It's not coming home then.

The best team won.

Let's talk about Bronze. Another of her 'headless chicken' runs led to Spain's goal. She had three chances to pass during that run - Russo, Walsh or Hemp - but went into a cul-de-sac and lost the ball. Spain made the most of the space she left by being out of position.

Her and Walsh, let England down. Walsh was a mile off the pace all game and should have been a prime candidate to be substituted. She needs a good long rest to get back to full fitness.

Carter, who I never really liked, was a revelation during this tournament. Along with Greenwood one of our best players.

I wonder what changes Wiegman will make once Williamson, Mead and Kirby are back to fitness. I can think of a few.

The best team won.
For all their shirt pulling and diving Spain's attack worked a lot better than ours did. They created better chances.
We looked a bit leggy, a bit slow in thought and deed. Too many times we dwelt on the ball and lost possession.
Didn't understand why Russo got subbed.

When Bronze went on that run into midfield some one should have covered her position.
On the day the Spanish midfield totally outplayed us.
Russo didn't get enough support because of it.

In theory, yes, but when playing a loose 3-"5"-2 system wing-backs should not come into the middle. It crowds midfield and leaves the wing open... as happened. It is why they get called WING-BACKS!

Daly doesn't do it because she knows that her and Greenwood might need to overlap and cover each other during an attack.

Leeds fans know all about full backs who charge upfield and then can't get back!

On another day Scotland could have had two penalties.

And then we lose to het Nederlandse. :o

I am sorry but Daly is not a natural left wing-back. She does her best but is much better on the right or up front. Replace headless chicken Bronze with Daly and then find a proper left wing-back or change the system.

We used to look good with a 4-3-3 before the injuries to Williamson, Walsh, Nobbs, Mead and Kirby.
