The ref and var beat the Netherlands. Japan beat themselves - disappointing. When Kerr came on I think France thought the Aussies were a one woman team and forgot about Foord, Carpenter and Raso.

England?

Phew, that was close!

Walsh and Stanway are way off the pace and either could be replaced. Bronze is a liability when she, err, "defends". And what has happened to Rachel Daley? She looks uncomfortable as a left back yet seems afraid to go forward if she is there as a left wing-back. Twixt and between?

Having said that we did grind out the win.

We did. Until the Colombian keeper spilled the ball we hadn't really put much together. Russo's goal was good though, turning the defender and getting her shot away.
Colombia were a good side. They created more than we did and looked better with the ball. That said I'm not sorry that they lost because they are the most physical woman's team I've seen. In a better refereed match they would have had half a dozen yellow cards.
