Good Morning Friday

Postby Kaz » 11 Aug 2023, 05:53

Morning all, I'm the early bird for a change :)

Fridays are always an early start because of my SW meeting. It's cloudy but no rain forecast so hopefully a dry day.I

Bit of local excitement, a light plane heading for Staverton Airport yesterday evening made an emergency landing on the A40 bypass between Cheltenham and Gloucester  Luckily no casualties! Here

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning Kaz, morning everyone

Sunny and warm already, going to be a hot one 8-)

Saw that on the news Kaz  :o

Grumpy outside doing car porty things and I have cleaning to do this morning. I was very industrious yesterday and cleaned window frames and did other stuff that tends to get ignored until I can't ignore it any longer

Lazy afternoon.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s a lovely morning here. Edward has gone to play golf early as the timesheet is very busy at the moment. I got up to have brekkie with him and am still in my dressing gown. After my shower, my main task of the day is packing and I also need to book a taxi for 4.30am tomorrow :? Our flight is at 7.10. I’ll also put together holiday details to send to Miss Osc and my sister. Poor Kellie has been very sick, she seems to have a severe dose of the vomiting bug as have several of the other children on the estate. I’m hoping she had a better night, she actually went five hours without throwing up yesterday evening and Miss Osc was hoping this was the start of an improvement. If she was not getting better by today, they were bringing her to the doctor. She has been taking liquids the whole time and they got Dioralyte for her too, so fingers crossed the news is better today. We will have our main meal early afternoon as we’ll be aiming to be in bed by 8pm tonight.

Hello you two and everyone - happy Friday

Wowzer Kaz - I didn't see any news yesterday so would have missed that! Hope SW went well :D
Jan, don't overdo the cleaning - it all just gets messy again. Enjoy the lazy afternoon.
Osc, dare I say - if Kellie is still not well then not sure a surgery waiting room is the best place for her, esp if that bug is as contagious as it seems to be :? Could they get a telephone appointment? But fingers crossed she's starting to perk up and back to her usual self very soon x

Another day off today so I will be heading to the allotment in a bit; just need to do a few things here at home. Weather is perfect for it - not too hot. Got a friend coming over early evening - she's studying to become a life coach and needs 6 "patients" to practice on - she's starting with me. Not sure what to expect in all honesty so will be interesting.

Have a lovely day all x

Good morning, a lovely one it is too.
I saw that Kaz, imagine driving a car along there and having a plane land on the road! :o
Don't do too much Jan, like Joan Rivers said the trouble with housework is once you've done it, six months later you have to do it all again! ;)
Osc, I hope Kellie picks up soon, that sounds nasty. Enjoy the day off Ria.
A shopping day today, ours and MrsC's Uncle J.
We had the police down our street yesterday to Barbara and David's. They wouldn't let them in! They have been harassed by an individual who is trying to rip them off for gardening work; a man who also tried to pressure a woman living on her own to let him do her garden as well. Another neighbour has reported this unpleasant individual to the police. In other news a young girl down this road has taken up with a lowlife and is getting into drugs. Her poor parents must be worried sick.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, it’s another sunny one although it feels a bit fresher than yesterday due to the breeze

Bill’s had a long walk and I’ve cut the lawns, just waiting for the Tesco delivery now.
Tom’s gone into the school to do a bit of work, Joe should be home at lunchtime. John’s at his colleague’s funeral this afternoon so not sure what time he’ll be home.

Kaz, they were very lucky! There’s a small airfield the other side of the common and a plane crashed there a couple of months ago and sadly killed both men in it. It’s not the first time there’d been an accident there :(

Have a good day all :)

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Just seen the news Kaz, wow that could have been a disaster, thank goodness no one was hurt.
Blimey you were busy Jan, don't overdo it today.

  oh so true.
Poor Kellie, hope she's better by this evening Osc.
Enjoy your day off Ria.

We had a lovely day yesterday, I thought I'd cooked way too much, but they wolfed it down. Just goes to show, bog common food is often better than the fancy stuff

Washing day and I really must change the bed. I'll definitely be collapsing this evening

Hope you all have a good day xx

Yes, they were extremely lucky! Crommers we often use that road, known locally as the Golden Valley bypass as it goes through beautiful countryside between Gloucester and Cheltenham

Jo, how sad! The people involved here walked away unscathed :!:
