Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 08 Aug 2023, 04:40

Good morning.

Off into Glasgow for the day. :cute:

I've got a ticket for the Kelvingrove Museum for the Mary Quant exhibition. I am so looking forward to it! :D

After that I'm going to walk down to Trongate to the Panopticon theatre and have a mooch inside. :D

Michelle's making dinner tonight. A beef stew sitting in a huge Yorkshire pudding. I never have food like this so another thing I'm looking forward to.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

A few clouds around this morning, but we're in for another warm day. What I dislike are the warm nights - not used to it any more. But hopefully, after tonight, the temperatures will be going down to more Alentejo normal, rather than the Algarve normal we're having ;)

Little plants watered and chatted to, especially the little one's who aren't doing so well

I'm (on my own :o  :Hi: ) off to Ourique this morning. Dora will be attending to my tootsies and then I'll do the shopping. There's nothing too heavy, apart from the water, so I can manage.

Grumpy will be making a noise and digging up the shale/rock.

I'm going to get a cooked chicken in Pingo and that will sort out dinner for tonight and tomorrow.

Enjoy your mooching Ally, have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hello and good morning all

Ally, have a wonderful day. Your dinner sounds amazing; I love giant Yorkshire puddings (heck, who am I kidding - I love ALL Yorkshire puddings regardless of size   )
Jan, safe travels and enjoy the solo trip. When was the last time you did that? :) Hope the plants have all listened to you
Kaz, ditto re the weather. Dull and dreary and drizzly here again as well - apparently warming up as of tomorrow so fingers crossed. But same as you I'm just so done with this lack of summer. Just hoping the rest of August and September make up for it. Don't necessarily need hot; just sunny and dry will be fine!

Another WFH day for me - being cheeky as I've got friends coming round for lunch. It's a very quiet week as loads of people away on holiday so I'm making the most of it :P .

Have a lovely day everyone xxx

Morning all, it’s a very pleasant morning here, sun and cloud, but autumn is creeping in. Edward went out early to play golf. We’re not going dancing today as I am still being careful with my ankle which is certainly much improved. Bits and pieces to do, clean the bathrooms being the main task. At some stage this week I need to ring and renegotiate our phone contract.

When we were on a cruise five years ago, the orchestra singer was Irish, we got on well with him and stayed in touch mostly via FB. I was online during the night (another broken night’s sleep  ) and saw he had commented on the photo of my jigsaw, saying his wife loved doing them. His wife is South Korean, they met on the Queen Mary 2 and they live in Waterford. He must be working on a ship now as he said he is in Alaska. I messaged him on Messenger and said I would be happy to send the jigsaw to his wife, he was delighted and gave me his address, so I will break down the jigsaw and get it in the post today. My brother just phoned, we had a chat, and now it’s time for me to hit the shower.

A lovely morning too, sunny with fluffy white clouds.
Eliza is due at 11 o'clock.
So a busy but nice day lies ahead.
Have a smashing day everyone.

Morning all :D

Nice and bright right now, but I think rain's forecast for this afternoon.

Managed to tidy the back and front garden yesterday, almost filled the bin. Still a bit sore, but need to pop to the small Tesco for a few bits, Z,M and the boys are coming to visit on Thursday. Ed wants to come too so we'll see if he manages to get in the car comfortably. It will do as his walk and if it gets too much traipsing up and down the aisles there's a little cafe so he can stop and have a coffee.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Last yer sometime, I think. Or it may have been the year before

Dora was running a bit late, so I've not long got back.

The car park wt Pingo was heaving, so I was expecting the shop to be the same. But although there was only one check-out open (as is normal in that shop) there weren't that many people in there.

But there were a lot of French reg cars  We normally get t hem in the Algarve, not here.

I'm heading for the pool, then I'll have something to eat.
