Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 05 Aug 2023, 04:53

Good morning.

I had Don expressing a desire yesterday to be back here away from the furnace and he's another one who's a sun God!

Today Craig and myself are off to Matlock Bath. :cute:

It's a beautiful place and I'm really looking forward to going. :cute:

Down the Dr's tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Warm already and it getting rather warm later

watering done and washing out. Won't take long to dry  We have a bet on, I think half an hour, Grumpy thinks an hour. We'll see.

He's already out using the jack hammer to break up the shale and slate on the bank, so the poles for the new car port can get further into it and the back end of the car doesn't stick out too much

I might finish off the kitchen cleaning, I might get up earlier tomorrow and do it when it's cooler. Or I might just leave it for a couple of weeks, until it is cooler ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Raining, but it is supposed to clear for this afternoon.

Ed managed a little walk round our close yesterday, he's hoping to have another go today weather permitting. Other than that we're having a nice quiet day.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Oh, just realised I never posted this morning. It was a truly dreadful night but the sun has come out a couple of times this morning, in between a few showers. There has been flooding in various places including near where my sister lives. I’ve done some yoga, and we took down the suitcases and other holiday stuff from the attic. I’l ironing some bedding that I washed yesterday and do some general holiday prep. Edward is watching the ManU match and wondering what sort of team they will send to Dublin for tomorrow’s match against Bilbao which has been sold out since May. It’s a bank holiday weekend here.

Evening all.
We got back from Sandsend (nr Whitby) this afternoon. Weatherwise a funny old week, either hot sun or pouring rain.
The rain this morning was just unbelievable. Flooded roads and the beck at the bottom of the hill which is usually a trickle, was in spate. If there were any ducks on it this morning they are probably in Holland by now!
It's been good though. Six adults and one child but the cottage was big enough so that we weren't on top of each other.
No one wanted to come home!
Ally, Don would be in no danger of being burned today!
I hope you've enjoyed your quiet day Kaz. Definitely wait until the cooler weather Jan. keep going Ed, it gets easier, but don't do too much too soon. Osc, I reckon we got your rain today.
Nice to be back.
