Morning everyone

Warm already and the heat is ramping up for the next couple of weeks

Grumpy is tap fixing this morning. One of the outside taps leaks when turned on - and even off   - so that's an important job. Then hole digging. He still has two more to go. I want to move two aloe vera's we brought up from our old house. They were teeny plants then and we put them in pots. Now they are huge and need to go into the ground. Still waiting for the sack truck from Mitch though.

I spoke to him yesterday and he's rather worried about the results. But it will be 7-10 days before the results get to the doc.

I have ironing

Hope E is feeling a little better Jen and you got some news yesterday x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hello you two and everyone

Enjoy the day Ally. I love the little UK markets and their stalls; just wish I had one that was walking distance
Jan, good luck with the taps and the holes - you're keeping Grumpy busy  . And regards to Mitch and fingers crossed for his results

Another work from home day for me - was meant to go into the office either today or tomorrow, but it's really quiet so I'll work from home all this week and go in Tuesday next week. So a usual day of work and pootle for me.

Have a lovely day everyone x

That's what they said in the wood shop yesterday Ria. For an old man, you're keeping him very busy. Well, it keeps him fit - ish ;)

He still has the car port to do

And I forgot the footie is on, so he's watching Portugal at the moment and then England later on.

Morning all, it’s a nice day here, sun and cloud although I will reluctantly say that it looks a tiny bit autumny :( Edward has gone to play golf earlier than usual. I need to stay home because we have someone coming to clean our gutter - due this afternoon but might arrive early. Miss Osc popped in for a quick chat yesterday, she has a terrible bite on her leg, big blister on it and her foot is swollen. She had been to the chemist and they had hopefully sorted her out with antihistamines and hydrocortisone cream. I gave her a bottle of lavender oil and told her to dab it on bites as soon as she gets them - she was rather sceptical but Edward confirmed the advice (he used to be sceptical too ;) ), when we are on holidays we always have it with us. Yesterday was a big day, I finally finished my jigsaw, I was determined to finish it before we go away. No great plan for the day, if the gutter guy arrives early enough we might go dancing this afternoon, otherwise just pottering about.

Morning all :D

Nice and sunny 8-)

I need antihistamines and hydrocortisone cream for bites Osc, they always help. Haven't heard about lavender oil though, will have to take some with us next time we go away.

I rang our surgery yesterday and they gave me the number for the district nurse who confirmed someone will be out today to take Ed's stitches out and will also take a blood sample sometime today. I was planning to pop to the small Tesco, but won't be going anywhere until he/she has been. Luckily we don't need anything urgently, it can wait till tomorrow if necessary. Ed's on his last day of antibiotics, hopefully he doesn't need more, I really don't fancy a dash into town.

Hope you all have a good day xx

The district nurse has been, she's very happy with his wound and says the smaller one at the bottom where he had the blister is also healing really well. Ed's quite excited as he's been given the all clear for a shower tomorrow morning. He will still need the perching stool for a few days, but at least he gets a really good wash. Even better it makes life easier for me too :D

She took more bloods so we should know if he's too low in iron within a couple of days. His colour is back to normal now so hopefully the results will be okay.

Just back from Tesco so that's all done and I don't have to shop again until Thursday.

Afternoon all :)

I like market stalls, Al :) xx

Jan, it keeps them out of mischief :P  xx

Hope you're enjoying your nice quiet day working from home Ria :) xx

De-cluttering is good Cruiser xx

I hope Miss Osc's bite heals now, Osc, it sounds very sore xx

Excellent news about E, Jen :) xx

We went out for brunch, walked Fraggle around the dock basin, then round to see D. Just having a cuppa, then I really must do some ironing! We have someone from a local firm coming round later, to give us a quote on some blinds or shutters - not decided which yet

Love to all xxx
