Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 28 Jul 2023, 04:35

Good morning.

The weather has been nice here. It's rained a couple of times (both at night) and I'm definitely not missing the Spanish scorchio.

Don's got his flight home at 5.30 this afternoon so this morning we're going to walk into town for breakfast and a couple of last minute bits. :)

According to Don we are NOT going into Boots again as yesterday I practically bought Rita Ora's nail polish collection. And that was before I spotted Tom Daley's stall.
*You have been given ample warning Kaz.*

Dr's Orders for Craig and myself tonight with fish and chips takeaway afterwards. :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

Pleasantly cool out there this morning, just right for digging holes

Plant moving this morning, some I want moving into the ground, rather than pots and some because they're where the new car port if going to be.

I'll get the weed sprayer out whilst Grumpy is digging the holes and try and kill off some brambles by the fence and other weeds on the paths. Some we can't move until we've borrowed sack truck, but speaking to Mitch yesterday, he needs to repair a puncture in his first.

Back for sausage butties for breakfast, then I'll attack the cleaning. The kitchen cupboards really need doing, but I have to be in the right frame of mind for that ;)

Lazy afternoon.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Safe flight to Don x

Good morning you two and everyone

Enjoy the day with Don and safe travels to him for later today Ally.
Jan, hope you get everything done you want this morning and then enjoy your lazy day.

Usual work from home day for me so mix of work and pootle. I really have to get a few things sorted though - next weekend I'm picking up a few things I've bought off a friend that's moving back to Australia so I need to move things around here to make space. CostCo this afternoon for a few bits and bobs

Have a lovely day everyone xx

Morning all, it’s a pleasant day here, not much sun but dry and quite warm. I put washing on the line last night so hopefully I will be able to take it in by lunchtime. Edward was playing golf earlier than usual today so he left here around 9am. I’ve no plan for the day but will spend time on my infamous jigsaw which I am trying to finish before we go away. Dancing tonight.

Morning all, it’s dull and humid although it went really sunny and hour ago, think it was just teasing,

Waiting for the Tesco delivery, it’s due between 11 and 12 but is usually early. The first of two loads of washing is almost finished so hopefully that’ll dry outside. Tom’s not sure what he’s doing today and Joe’s back from camping and is at work so will be home early afternoon. Amanda’s at a festival.

I went to help Tom sort out his classroom yesterday, and he wanted to put some paper on large display boards on the wall which is a two person job. The roll of paper was huge and the boards were being covered in one piece. I was absolutely blown away by the school, he gave me a guided tour. I might have been more interested in school if we’d have had the facilities that they have, it’s only been open for five years so everything is up to date and in lovely condition. Remember the scratchy hard paper towels in the toilets when we were at school? There’s none of that there - they’ve got Dyson hand driers

Saundra, have a lovely day!

Al, safe travels to Don x

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :D

Bit dull and grey, not sure if we're in for rain :?

Ed had a restless night, he was up three times, in the end we both slept through till 8.30am. He's feeling fine, but he's still very pale. No news from the surgery about the district nurse, so it's wait and see.

Usual Friday wash day and bed change, not looking forward to tackling that on my own, but needs must. Also expecting a Sainsbury's delivery this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day xx
