Morning Tuesday

Postby jenniren » 18 Jul 2023, 05:00

Morning all :D

Nice and bright at the moment, not sure what the forecast is for the rest of the day.

E was picked up at 4.15, did try to get back to sleep, but have given up. It's going to be a long day. The admissions nurse rang yesterday to go through a few questions ready for today. She said he will stay in the admissions area until surgery so hopefully that means he will be going down to theatre reasonably early. They usually send him to the ward to wait if he's on the list for the afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning.

Hope everything goes ok for E Jen. xx

I'm having an early swim. The heatwave is returning. (Not that it really went away!) The temps had dropped to 38° for a few days but going back up to 46° for the rest of the week.

I'm meeting David at 5pm for a walk round el porton. Thank goodness it's shady!
We'll have a cold beer when done. :D

Last night saw the start of an excellent series The Sixth Commandment. It's four episodes with the second part on tonight parts 3 & 4 next Monday and Tuesday but as we go away on Thursday we're going to watch another two parts tonight on iPlayer and the last part tomorrow. :D

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

Best of luck to E today Jen and hope it's not too long a day for you xx Try and have a snooze this afternoon.

Pleasantly cool at the moment but the heat will ramp up soon. And we obviously have the dust back again, as the sky is an odd colour again.

Ironing for me this morning and lazy afternoon.

Although I made half of what I normally do for the tuna salad, there is still enough for tonight  How Grumpy has not lost any weight is beyond me

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everyone

Jen - best of luck for E; hope you manage to get a snooze into the day at some point and that you soon have news that all has gone well x ((hugs))
Ally - those temperatures are just mad! And then here we are in the UK with totally below average temperatures. I'm absolutely longing for sunshine and proper warmth! Enjoy the walk with David, that beer later and then the series
Jan - hopefully you manage to stay cool today. Is the dust the 'usual' Sahara dust you get or is it coming from elsewhere (and sorry if I missed this bit of info).

Another work from home day for me. Nail appointment at 12.30 but that's about it.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning everybody.

Temperature only 18c . Grey clouds but the sun is trying to come out.
I have been to have my blood taken. I was the first one in at the the clinic. It only opens at 7.30 a.m. It is by appointment only unles it is an urgent referak by a doctor.

The olg grammar scholl building was convereted into a health unit with various clinics in it. The original playground is now a car park.

Jen, I hope everythig goes well for E. Relax if you can and do not rush things.
I am going to town as I want to go to the bank. Back home I will be ironing sheets as I changed the bedding on Sunday. They are washed but want ironing.
I always do them last.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s a miserable wet day here :( Not much going on, Edward cancelled his golf yesterday having seen the forecast for today. We might go dancing this afternoon. I cleaned one bathroom yesterday so will do the other one this morning. I did all the ironing yesterday, nice to have it out of the way until the next lot! Hope all goes well for Ed, try and have a rest Jen.

Bonkers weather.

No sun, still quite cool and we've just had several rumbles of thunder and a smattering of rain

I've even opened the shutters  8-) Nice to have a light house
