Good morning.

A more normal for this time of year 38°.

I've been for a walk and soon about to dive into the pool.

We're going to the Thai restaurant tonight with friends and I've booked the table I know gets the best advantage from the aircon.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Never thought I'd say this in July - but it's a wet morning :o  Grey cloud and that mizzley wet stuff  Everything is very wet in the garden, so it's been going on for a while

And it was a cold and blowly night too. The sheet covered us, then the shutters were shut and then the bedspread came on too

Long trousers this morning

I'll finish off the vacuuming this morning and mop the floor. The battery ran out halfway through yesterday, so I left it.

Down the bar this afternoon, to meet some friends and show off the car

Grumpy has requested something warm for dinner, so he's having chilli and I'll make a second attempt at caeser salad.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s raining again  and forecast to do so for the rest of the day  Edward is watching golf from Scotland and they brought it forward about four hours, so the forecast must be bad there too. I’m going to yoga at 11am, anc back to clean the bathroom. Then leisure pursuits for the rest of the day - jigsaw, read, knit.

Morning all.
Very wet here too. It seems to have been raining for the last 24 hours. Things are looking up now though as the rain is getting warmer.
Eliza slept over and her mum is coming to get her soon.
We went to see my brother in Selby yesterday, which was nice. In their upcoming by election there are thirteen candidates!
In a while I will go and get a paper, after that it's Eliza recovery time.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all :D

Bit changeable, one minute sunny, the next overcast

Taking it easy today, my ankle is suffering. I decided to finally get the holiday ironing done yesterday, 4 of E's cotton shirts and a couple of my tops. It doesn't sound a lot, but standing in one spot is never a good idea these days. What with that and the washing I was properly done in by the time I was finished.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning everybody.

We have sunshine with some fluffy clouds. It is 20C.
Have been shopping. Wanted some carrott cake for the visitors tomorrow. Got some other food as well.
Did the washing while I was out. It is now drying on the maiden. It will be tomorrow before I star ironing as I am watchinh the Tour e France again.

Have spent some time taking the dead flowers off the Evening Primrose plants. Have not done it for a couple of days. I soon fill a large bowl with them.
But it is a good display. There are two plants at the front and three at the back.

Have a good day everybody.

Afternoon all :)

The forecast was wrong this morning, we were due thunder storms from 8am but we managed to get a nice long walk on Hednesford Hills in the sun with Bill, we felt the first drops of rain as we were changing our shoes back at the car at 11.30 so timed that just right as it got very heavy very quickly. It didn’t rain for long though but it’s still grey, we’ll see if the forecast is right for the 40+ mph winds this afternoon.

Joe and Amanda are still sleeping. We picked Amanda up just after Midnight, her trains had all run on time from Paris to Birmingham! Joe’s flight was delayed by 2 hours though so I waited up for him as he didn’t take his keys and he arrived home just before 2am.

Tom’s off to the staff end of term party later. It’s at the school and he’s booked a nearby hotel, as have a few of his colleagues, so they haven’t got to get back home afterwards.

No plans for this afternoon.

Cruiser, there’s a lot of Evening Primrose growing wild on the common, it’s so pretty :)

Have a good day all :D

Hello everyone :)

The usual Saturday stuff here, although strong winds and a sudden downpour caused a sudden change of venue from Corretto's to Portivo's  :cute:  Round to see D after that, then we popped into The Range on the way home to buy a new clothes horse, and I grabbed a few SW meals from their Iceland section.

Feet up now, watching Ice Station Zebra on the telly :D

Love to all xxxx
