Good morning.

If I say parts of southern Spain hit 50° yesterday it will indicate how hot it is.

Going for a Guadalmar walk with Don. If we leave early enough we might make it to the other side to have a walk on the beach. :D

Back to be lilo Lil  and read.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

Another warm day on the cards for us too.

Of to Ourique soon, get the shopping and recycling out of the way early and back to snooze, read and generally be sloth like.

Not going out for dinner, really have no inclination to get dressed up in anything other than shorts and t/shirt, so we-ll get a cooked chicken in Pingo and have that.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Good morning everybody,

The sun is out but there are still some clouds. We had rain in the night. It is 20C on the thermometer.

Going to the library. Want to see if there is any old maps or photos of part of the town. They will be in the refernce library if there are any.

Back home I will just be pootling. I watch the Tour de France. It goes through some lovely countryside. The riders must be fit. Cycling for four hours up some very step hills.

I am now having salad for my evening meal. No cooking.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :)

Wow, Ally! Take care in that extreme hear xxx

Enjoy your birthday Jan :) xxx

I think those riders must be very fit, Cruiser! xx

It's cloudy here, lots of showers in the forecast this week. We're going out down the Quays with Fraggle, for a walk as long as it doesn't pour down. Round to D's for lunchtime - she needs some new plants so maybe we'll go to the garden centre if she feels up to it.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

hello and good morning all

Ally, I was thinking of you when we were in Dalyan. The Thursday and Friday before we left it got to 40 degrees and it was really hot - and that is with a breeze coming off the river. I really feel for people and animals that are made to work in that heat - it really is relentless. The pool at the villa was a god send.
Jan, I'd be doing the same - get everything out the way early in the day and then just do as little as you can get away with.
Cruiser and Saundra, enjoy the TdF - agree on the fitness levels - I'd not manage more than a mile
Kaz, have a fab day - love a mooch round a garden centre

well I had a very early night last night and had a good nights sleep and woke up surrounded by the cats; think they missed me :D . I do feel like a new human being today; . Been to Sainsbury's to get bits and bobs and now back to the usual mix of working from home and pootling. About to put a load of washing on the line, weather is still holding so it should dry OK. I also need to try remember various login details for apps on my phone - I got a new one just before I went away and all apps that require passwords etc need to be reset - such a pain

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all :D

Weather's a bit changeable today.

We're off to the cinema later, it's Tom Cruise and Mission Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One. Really looking forward to it, love the MI films. Hoping it's not too crowded. We would normally have waited a week for all the excitement to die down a bit, but if all goes to plan E will be in hospital this time next week.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, sun and cloud here after a truly awful rainy day yesterday. We are glued to our television - we have an ongoing scandal here in relation to our national tv station and the way it has been paying its top presenters and it has been broadened out to include how the station is run. Today the main presenter is giving evidence to a government committee, together with his agent. It is being broadcast live and some pubs are even showing it! We are going to a dance this afternoon, one we have not been to before. Edward is waiting for an order from Next which is due to be delivered between 1pm-2pm, hopefully it will arrive before we go out although the courier is very good at leaving packets in a neighbouring business if we leave a note on the door.

Happy Birthday to our birthday girls!

Oh crikey, that's way too hot!
Afternoon everyone.
MrsC and her sis are in town shopping and having lunch.
I have been to the supermarket and butchers.
It's nice here, pleasantly warm. :)

Osc, I read about that. Rumours about a slush fund that was used to pay some TV stars "off the books".
Enjoy the film Jen!

Have a nice day all.

We’re glued to it and decided not to go out! It has mainly been about one “star” and he and his agent are before the committee today.
