Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 05 Jul 2023, 04:58

Good morning.

Another blistering hot day. 8-)

I went out for a drink with David yesterday to celebrate some good news he'd had so my idea of lilo lounging went up in the air.

It really is too hot to be out and about so palm tree, pool, book and lilo are definitely happening today!

I've got last week's Sewing Bee to catch up on before tonight's instalment. :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning all :)

Taking it easy sounds a very good idea Al  Nice that David had good news :D xx

Jan  xx

Glad you enjoyed your day out Cruiser :) xx

It's cloudy again here, we've had a fair bit of rain over the last few days - much needed, but the drop in temperature and needing a jacket has been a bit of a shock  We were thinking of a trip up Crickley Hill, there's a nice walk up there and fantastic views but we'll see how the weather goes, I think https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/ ... ckley-hill

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning all, it’s mostly cloudy here and cooler - not used to having to factor a sweater/cardi into my outfit for the day! We are trying a different dance class this morning, it’s on once a month and we know the teacher. Yesterday Kellie and my sister called to see if we wanted to go to the funfair with them, we can see the big wheel from our window! I used to love fairground rides but am not able for them any more, went on the dodgems and the big wheel. My sister was driving our dodgem and managed to crash into the barrier at the little hut where the guy who runs it was sitting, his face was a picture! It got cold very quickly so Edward popped home to get us jackets before we went on the wheel - the views were lovely and Kellie had fun spotting different places and our house. I’m just about to go to the post office before we go out to take out money, and we need milk.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny, hope it lasts.

Up at silly o'clock as I have an appointment at the surgery for a diabetic blood test. They will also look at my folic acid levels. It was due in May while we were away, when we got back this is the earliest slot I could get.

Afterwards we're off to Westwood Cross and M&S, going a day earlier than usual, don't want to be rushing around tomorrow.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, I really need to get back into the habit of posting on the Good Morning thread everyday!

Had a cool walk with Bill first thing, I'm still wearing a sweatshirt actually because it’s not much warmer now.
Joe’s just got home from work, he’s been watching the progress of his 3D print that he’s left running, there’s a camera on the machine which he’s watching. He said it’ll probably still be there waiting for him on the 17th (the next time he’s in work) because he’s the only one who knows how to use the 3D printer  He’s now at home until Monday and then he and a couple of friends are flying to Kavos for five days, Amanda and the girlfriend of one of his friends are going to Disneyland Paris. I think the girls have made the better choice

Tom’s on strike today so he’s headed off to London for the day.

We’ll be watching the Wham documentary on Netflix tonight.

Kaz, I’ll have to ask John where it was we stopped off on the way to Cornwall one time, I know we got off the M5 in the Gloucester area and drove up a hill and could see for miles. Birdlip comes to mind….

Have a good day all!

Well, best laid plans and all that, Ed's just had a call to say his op this Friday has been cancelled. Can't complain, apparently they have to make way for an urgent transfer. They are going to try and fit him in Tues or Wed next week, so fingers tightly crossed.

Oh that's a shame, but good that they'll try to fit him in next week.
