Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 14 Jun 2023, 05:16

Good morning.

Toasty hot and forecast 34°. 8-)

Yesterday on our Guadalmar walk an otter walked right out in front of us and looked at us as if we had no right to be there!

The river Gualalhorce has lots of little areas where there's lots of wildlife, birds etc and this particular part of our walk there's a bit of water on either side where we guessed Otty was going from one riverbank to the other. He really was lovely.

The difference between walking by the sea and coming home to our valley of death heat yesterday was most apparent.

I'll have a swim early after I've pegged the washing out and not planning to do much except read and lilo.

Sewing Bee tonight. :cute:

Have a great day.

Our great-niece Rachel is one today! (Where on earth has that year gone?!)

Ed sends us loads of whatsapp pics of her and she really is a little character.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Well, it was a glorious morning an hour ago, but the clouds have rolled in and it's got quite chilly  They'll disappear soon and we'll have a lovely, warm day. Hitting 38C tomorrow  :o

Off to Ourique after another coffee, do both supermarkets and I must go to the post office to put some money on my phone. Also need stuff from the chemist.

Back for breakfast and I'd like to get some weeding done. Donkeys will be happy.

BBQ later.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all from Portofino where it is mostly cloudy but already 22 degrees at 9.30. We’ll go ashore in a while, this is a port where we are tendered off the ship so we’ll wait until the crowds have gone. In the meantime, it looks like we are about to book another cruise for next year….. We are really enjoying this, it is so relaxing. Yesterday afternoon we sat outside in the roof garden and watched a movie! Last night we had a bit of fun in the casino on a slot machine, we got a free $5 bet each and bought another $20, had lots of fun with it and came out with our original $20 so that was good.

Osc,

My wife and I loved cruising Had many cruises, going to the Med the Caribbean and to Alaska. It is such a lovely way to travel visiting a different port each
day and meeting so many different people.

Would love to go again but I am not going onmy own

Hello and good morning (just) everyone

Ally - how wonderful to see an otter; wow! Enjoy your day by the pool - and happy birthday little Rachel :D
Jan - don't overdo the weeding; hope you got everything done in town
Cruiser - they won't be able to replace just the taps if you're going from two separate to one mixer; you will have to replace the basin - but it will be worth every penny!
Osc - hope you're having a lovely time in Portofino
Kaz - hope you too are having a lovely day wherever you ended up going. So many lovely places to go where you are!

Another work in the office day for me - sigh; actually I'm in every day this week. But not long to go and I'm away on holiday so I'm counting the days!

Have a lovely day all

Morning all :D

Lovely sunshine 8-)

I would have been in here earlier, but the desktop was playing up, took ages to get it to behave. I could have used the laptop or tablet, but I prefer the big pc, much quicker for typing etc. Not much happening here, being lazy suits us too well

Hope you all have a good day xx

Ria, we wanted to go to Stroud but decided it might be too hot for Fraggle. So we took him down the Quays - just a very short car ride, and total shade between their car park and the shade outside Portivo's 8-) We can't leave him home in his own for more than an hour these days, he pines terribly. Where are you going on holiday? :D xx

Cruiser, that's a shame :( xx

Jen, lazy is the way to go in this weather 8-) xx
