Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 02 Jun 2023, 05:10

Good morning.

We must have had rain overnight as there's a puddle by the terrace.

Forecast sunny and 27° today. 8-)

Getting the bus into Malaga to meet the boys for breakfast. This has become a very lovely habit. :D

Friday beers and tapas tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning! :)

Ally, that is a lovely habit :D Glad you've had some rain 8-) xx

I'm an early bird today, I woke about half an hour ago and decided to read instead of going back to sleep. SW meeting this morning with Em. My eating habits have not been good this week, with being ill. I tend to graze and don't eat enough of the right food when poorly, but we'll see. I'm feeling better, which is the main thing :)

We're meeting Mick and Em's Dave in a local cafe afterwards for breakfast, which will be nice, then going to see D.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

Sunny this morning but rain forecast for this afternoon.

Glad you're feeling better Kaz x

Into Ourique this morning. We couldn't park anywhere near Nelson's shop earlier this week. Ourique is always rammed with cars, as the Portuguese don't like to walk anywhere   and at the moment, four roads are closed and one car park too. So it's a nightmare. We're going in before the shops open, so we can get near his shop  Need to pay him and also get some more stuff for the pool.

Will get a baguette in Aldi and have breakfast when we get back.

Get some cleaning done, then having a video chat with a friend and then making fish cakes for tonight.

And need to chat to Jan about our transport for next week.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s mostly cloudy here and that dratted east wind is still there, making it cooler than it should be  Lots on the list today as I’m concentrating on getting holiday stuff ready, changing the bed and I need to renew my prescriptions. We’re going dancing this evening, it is the birthday of one half of the couple who host it so there will be cake :D On the way, we will call to Miss Osc’s house to say goodbye to Michael who is going to Irish college on Sunday for two weeks. That means going to a college in an Irish-speaking area (Connemara in his case) to be immersed in speaking Irish, you can be sent home if you are caught speaking English. It is very much a rite of passage for many young Irish people. It is usually a great experience and I hope it will be for him. I had fun yesterday with Kellie, she picked up the little knitting kit I bought her a couple of years ago - she didn’t do so well with it then but did much better yesterday, I’m not a great knitter but can at least teach basic garter stitch! When Miss Osc arrived to collect her, Kellie wanted to stay on and keep knitting! Edward will be heading out to play golf shortly, I’d better get on with stuff.

Am I the only one heartily sick and tired of the whole Philip Schofield thing?

Nope, we are too. Can't understand why it's front page news still.

He's a tv presenter, why all the fuss?

Morning all :D

Miserable here

I'm not interested in him at the best of times Osc, all this media attention is just overkill!!

Not a lot happening here, finished all the holiday washing, will wait until tomorrow before changing the bed. Really need a lazy day. I've even cancelled my hair appointment booked for tomorrow, have rescheduled for next weekend. It usually takes a few days to get my body clock back into 'normal' time, thankfully I'm only affected after a return journey. Another good reason to stay away longer

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon.

Lovely day here, sunny and blue skies.
We have been to Home Bargains (MrsC is impressed) and Sainsbury's.
Our son is coming over later, MrsC and I will drop off her Uncle Jim's shopping before then.

Afternoon all, it’s sunny and not too warm which will do nicely!

The Tesco delivery has been so we’re well stocked up, I’ll still go to Aldi tonight though for a few things which aren’t overpriced at Tesco.

Tom’s here doing some work and Joe’s off back later. He’ll have finished work now but he’d got a hair cut booked and then he was going to the cinema with Amanda so he’ll be home later.

I’m getting ready for tomorrow, we’ll have to leave early to drive to Wembley and what with the Cup Final and a Beyoncé concert both in North London and the train strikes the roads will be ridiculously busy. We’ve been designated service stations to stop at on the motorway so that both sets of supporters aren’t stopping at the same ones. We’re also advised to take the M6-M42-M40 route while the other team is advised to go on the M6 Toll but we’re going to be rebels and pay the £7.40 toll or whatever it is and cut out the worst of the M6.

Yes, also sick of Schofield. I’ve never liked him.

Have a good day all :)
