Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 05 May 2023, 05:14

Good morning.

It's four years today mum passed away.
It's beyond incredible how quickly time has gone but how it really does seem like yesterday. :(

Craig's taking me out for the day.

Have a good day.

((((((Ally)))))) xxx

Morning all :)

It looks fine here so far, but apparently rain is forecast for the Coronation weekend. SW meeting this morning, and after the weigh-in we're having a little party. Members have been asked to bring in either "free" or "low syn" food - I've made some mini quiches from a SW recipe. Round to D's this afternoon, the shower is getting finished this morning. I spoke to D last night, she's really pleased with It so far :D

Love to all xxx

Good Morning Friday

Postby JanB » 05 May 2023, 07:41

Morning everyone

Overcast this orning and pleasantly cool. Was misty earlier, butthat's gone now.

Late start for us, amazing what a brandy does

Off to the coffee morning later. Chris is taking us and then we're heading over to Mitchell's with some plants for him and here are also some for us.

We have a "specialist" coming this afternoon, to assess Grumpy' hearing. We know he's deaf ish, but he bought a enhancer thingy and it comes with a visit  We'll meet him atthe bar and he can follow us up here. Trying to describe how to get here is a little difficult, sometimes.

After going into Ourique yesterday, I have decided I'm not driving again until I've had at least one eye done. I really couldn't make out a lot of stuff untill it was too close and that's scary :|

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hello and good morning all

(((((Ally))))) big hugs :(
Kaz, enjoy the SW meet / party; and thanks for sharing the recipe - will definitely give them a try.
Jan, good luck with the 'test' for Grumpy today - is he open to hearing aids if need be? As for the driving - makes total sense to not drive until one eye is done at a minimum - and apologies if I've missed it - do you have a date for the ops?

A working from home day for me. About to head to Sainsbury's to get a few things for the weekend and then home to try tidy and get some semblance of order into the mess that there is. Not sure if Karl is coming round after work today to do a bit more in the bathroom; Thomas is doing work experience at Karl's company so will be with him in the car; and he'll be wanting to get home - they have very early starts every morning.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s nice and sunny here but the forecast is for rain later on. Edward has gone to play golf. I had booked to go to the gym but cancelled as I fancied just being at home and catching up with stuff, it has been quite a busy week. I have a list to work through, already done a couple of things on it which involved sending emails. There is ironing  but I’ll also get a bag down from the attic as we are going to Wicklow for a few days on Sunday, looking forward to some time just chilling out, it’s very quiet and peaceful there. I want to make a batch of soup too. Better get moving or I’ll get nothing done! Going dancing tonight.

Morning all.
Lovely and sunny now after a rainy start.
We are back from the big shop.
MrsC is celebrating the coronation tomorrow with the neighbours so we have bought some Prosecco.
Ally, lots of vibes today. Jan, that's a sensible decision regarding driving.
We are going stright back out now for a bite to eat at the Bella Roma in town.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Afternoon all, it’s sunny despite rain being forecast for all day.

I took Bill for a long walk first thing and came home and started digging over the borders. That was all done by 8.30, thinking I’d not get it done if I left it much longer due to the forecast  I’ve since been out again and done some pruning and given the lawns a quick cut.

Tom’s heading off to London straight from work. He’s gone armed with his camera, several high capacity memory cards and a spare camera battery to document the coronation. That’s the history teacher coming out in him, not genetics. He’ll be back on Sunday.

Have a good day all :)
