Good morning Wednesday

A place to chat with friends, old and new

Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 03 May 2023, 05:59

Good morning.

Had an absolutely fantastic day yesterday. :cute:

Met Kaz at noon and then spent three hours in the O/C's having lunch and a good old chat.

Isn't it amazing making friends on a forum who then become very dear friends in real life. :cute:

Jumped on a train to Widney Manor where Jackie was waiting for me.

We went to the pub, had dinner and just as the waitress was clearing the table I looked up to see Sue, Pat and Elaine (the friends who come over to Spain with Jackie) approaching us.

Jackie had arranged a surprise for me by them turning up. I was delighted. :cute:

Cue a fabulous night full of laughs and joy...and we came third in the quiz.

Getting the 14.30 train from New Street back to Nottingham where Craig will pick me up.
I'll see where the day takes us once home.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Clody start again but we're hopefully going to be cooler today. Yesterday was rather warm

fun packed days Ally, enjoy x

Off to Ourique again this morning. Hopefully can actually get to the post office this morning. The roads around it were shut, due to water works and Grumpy didn't fancy walking up the hill in the heat, so we'll walk it this morning. It is rather a steep hill

Back for breakfast and then pootle. Or just read 8-)

Out for dinner tonight. David and Rita are heading back to Canada on Friday and Chris and Lucy are driving back to France and then England on Monday. We'll miss them.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Ally, all I can say is ditto! :D :D Just lovely to catch up 8-) :D :D Your evening sounds great, what a fantastic surprise :D :D xx

That reminds me Jan, I must get to the P.O. one day this week! I hope the roads are open for you xx

Well after my lovely day yesterday it's back to normal today, a trip to the garden centre this morning for some plants for my patio pots. Round to D's later, to see how they're getting on with putting in the new shower unit. It's a three day job, that started yesterday. The sun's out here, so it should be nice up at Highfield's, the cafe there has a fantastic view across the countryside 8-)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all, up early again to go and have the 24 hour monitor removed and have a consultation with the doctor. Edward is coming with me, so when I am finished in the clinic (the Elderly Health clinic  ) we’ll have a potter around the shops and a bit of lunch somewhere. I had a restless night so am feeling fairly tired. At least I don’t have to drive as we are going on public transport.

I can imagine all the chatting and laughing yesterday, Ally and Kaz!

Hello and good morning all

Ally & Kaz; glad you had a fab time yesterday x
Ally that sounds like a great evening - I do love a good pub quiz; don't attend enough and am as useful as a chocolate teapot, but always have a giggle
Kaz, enjoy the garden centre today; a perfect day for it. Hope D's shower is progressing nicely
Jan, makes sense re doing that hill walk in the morning - it is rather steep! Enjoy the dinner tonight and safe travels to everyone as they embark on their journeys.
Osc, good luck with the appointment; and enjoy the lunch.

Another day in the office for me - three this week. It's so lovely out there I'd much rather be home so I could have a lovely mix of work and home pootling, but hey ho - c'est la vie.

have a fabulous day everyone x

Ally that sounds like a lovely day. Never mind Ria, wfh in the good weather will be here soon! Osc, good luck with the check up.
Jan, are the Canadians snowbirds going home for the Canadian summer? morning Kaz!
Not too sure what's on for today. Yesterday there was an ambulance down the street for hours, I hope everyone is OK.
Isn't it lovely to see all the fresh new greenery? May and June are the nicest months, I think.
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning all, it’s a lovely sunny Spring morning here.

I’ve walked Bill, done two loads of washing which ar now blowing around on the line in the breeze and I’ve cut the lawns.

Oven chips and chicken for dinner tonight, Operation Emptythefreezer is underway before the new one gets delivered on Saturday  After that we’re going to the Odeon to see The Unlikely Pilgrimage Of Harold Fry. I loved the book so I’m looking forward to this, and anything with Jim Broadbent and Penelope Wilton is worth watching.

Saundra, that’s so sad :(

Have a good day all :)

We managed the post office, didn't wwalk up that hill, parked elsewhere.

And checked the post box on our way home and found two more cards for registered post   So we'll go back again tomorrow. Hope it's our new cards :Hi:

One Canadian and one Portuguese Crommers. They have a farm just outside Toronto and spend their summer there and winter here or off cruising somewhere.
