Cromwell,
I went to pay a cheque into my bank. It is the Nationwide Building Society. Have not done this for a long time. Asked one of the assistants to
help me use one of the machines. Said I had to go to the counter as the cheque had one of those funny squares on it and had to be monually
credited to my account.
Good job I still have a local bank with staff I can talk to.

We have a lovely bank manager Cruiser,. His Engilsh is not brilliant, but my Portuguese gets us through.

A lovely evening out as Chris, Lucy, their friend Trish from America and four bods from South Africa, arrived at the same time as us and we all joined up
