Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up

We have had more rain but the sun is coming out with lots of blue sky. Going to the bank to pay a cheque in and then on the bus to Chorley.
There is a stall which sells fresh fish. It is always busy. Will get enough fortwo lunches and two evening meals.
Will also have lunch at a cafe. It will be hotpot with brown bread and tea.

Back home will start the iroming. Did the washing yesterday and it has dried overnight.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

A very uninspiring morning, just grey, so couldn't be bothered to get up earlier  Going to be like this for most of the day, apparently

I will get the cleaning out of the way, after breakfast. Treating us to bacon butties :Hi:

Grumpy will be resting again and I'll head outside and dig up some of the lovely wildflowers. They look lovely when they flower, but by heck, they take over the garden and kill everything off underneath then. Gives something else a chance to grow by removing hem. i'm slowly winning  Every year, I dig up something different and the donkeys get some fresh stuff too.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s dull and damp here. Today is Miss Osc’s 46th birthday, how can I be the mother of a 46-year old :? SIL is taking her out for lunch so I will collect Kellie from school at 12o’c, half day as the Easter holidays start today. Otherwise I have quite a bit to do laundry wise but will spread it out over the next few days. We are supposed to go dancing tonight, don’t fancy it at the moment but we’ll see.

Incidentally I got a lovely email yesterday evening from the car hire office at Leeds/Bradford airport telling me they had collected the car from the hotel - he said they had been very concerned about me on Wednesday and hoped I was feeling better, isn’t that kind. I have to say, the manager was so nice from the time I booked, was very good about our revised earlier flight time, had the car ready early and when we went to collect it, he and the other staff member on duty were so nice and friendly - top marks to Enterprise car hire!

Osc....I can vouch for Enterprise car rental being fantastic. :cute:

Before dad passed away sis hired a car from the branch in Hamilton.

She was feeling very emotional, got into a tizz because it was a new fangled car and was sitting having a quiet meltdown when Craig spotted her from his office window.

Ran out to see her, made sure she was ok and went through everything with a fine tooth comb.

He then went above and beyond by ringing her that night to check she was ok.

So impressed was Michele she contacted Craig's boss and the upshot was Craig got a very well deserved promotion and raise.
(He's since been made a manager.) :D

Fast forward two years and every time sis has gone to dad's he's always given her an outstanding discount on car hire.

When we were over last November for our sisterly week together we took Craig out to lunch.

He's a friend for life. :D

Nice one Ally.

Osc, I wonder if it was my nephew, Mr Bradford, as he is one of the managers at Enterprise in LBA. His wife is also a supervisor in Jet2 HQ at the airport and they get good reviews as well. It is a good airport; big enough but not so big that it has lost that personal touch.

Morning all :D

High winds and rain overnight, dull and overcast now.

Enjoy the cake Ally.
Have a good trip to Chorley Cruiser.
Yummy bacon butties Jan.
Happy birthday Miss Osc, I never cease to be amazed how old I am Osc, how did it happen :o

Usual washing and bed change day for me. Expecting a Sainsbury's delivery later this afternoon and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

No, his name is Howard Gladman - that would have been some coincidence! I rather like that Mr Bradford works at Leeds/Bradford ;)

Afternoon all, it’s raining again. We had quite a dry Winter so it looks like this is payback.

I walked Bill early on while the rain was just drizzle. John’s booked today off so he was up when we got back and I delegated cleaning the mud off Bill to him
The Tesco order has been and I’ve already had my refund for the almost out of date/dodgy items they’ve sent (ham and rolls going out of date tomorrow and a pack of bacon which was open).

Joe should be back this afternoon. Twice he’s taken my Dad to the cemetery after he’s finished work on Friday and now it’s become an expectation. I spoke to my Dad last night and he told me to tell Joe that he’d got some flowers to take today when he picks him up after work. Joe knew nothing about it but has changed his plans, bless him.

Vet appointment for Bill this evening, just for a health check. Due him having insulin he has to have a six month health check by law, it’s fallen so that his yearly vaccination in September acts as one though.

Craig sounds wonderful Ally, what a heartwarming story. He deserves to go far x

Osc, I’m not sure how you have a 46 year old daughter either! Happy Birthday to Miss Osc x

Have a good afternoon all x

Osc, how nice! Happy birthday to Miss Osc :D I'll be the mother of a 45 year old in May - like you I have no idea how that happened  :) xx

SW meeting this morning, all went well 8-) Then into town to collect an order - a birthday present for Emma. Round to D's after that. Not long been home. We're out to a 60th party tonight, which will be nice :)
