Keyboard

The SHIFT key has stopped working. This means when I want a capital I have to press the capital lock key.
I have had this key board, a Microsoft, for over ten years so tomorrow I will be going a local computer shop to see if they have any.
If not I will get one online delivered directly to me.

I always find the trouble with having to use the Caps Lock key is that I ALWAYS FORGET TO TURN THE RUDDY THING OFF!

Decided to clean the keyboard. I used one of my wife's make-up brushes which she had never used. I also had a small can of compressed air.
Surprising how much rubbish came out. It includued bits of paper, metal staples and dandruff as well as lots of dust.
Must have spent about 15 minutes doing it.
Result. It is now working properly so will not ne to buy a new one.

But thank you for your advice.

Always welcome. I assumed the cleaning bit had been done. I turn mine upside down from time to time and shake it but most of the working environments for my keyboards are fairly dusty and have large dust matter in them. When they fail it is usually RIP time.

I like a new keyboard from time to time. This MS one is as good as I've had since my last cordless desktop 7000 died. The first one died and I bought 2 more for £45 each. Slowly the rest died, one by one. Now if you want one they are £400 as they are not made any more.
