Good morning Saturday

Good morning.

Gorgeous sunrise and forecast 21°. 8-)

Sis and Mark live in the Dordogne region and distance wise not far at all...but goodness me it's cold there.
It was -1 yesterday morning when we left at 6.30am for the airport. There was actually frost on the ground... something I haven't seen for 20 years.
I got off the plane into my beloved Spanish warmth.

My flight home was fab. I could see directly down to Madrid and nerdy Norma was delighted to spot the airport and watch a plane taking off. It was like being a drone.

It was only an 85 minute flight. So quick and easy as no passport control or faffing.

I had such a wonderful time with Michele and was so happy to be with her for her special birthday.
She'd made me a wee sandwich to eat on the plane and inside had written a little letter thanking me for being with her and she'd loved it.
My eyes leaked. But it was lovely.

I'm having a day lying in the garden reading. :D

Tonight we're getting a Chinese takeaway and catching up with missed TV starting with last Sunday's Endeavour. :D

Have a great day.

Morning all! :)

Ally I wish I hadn't seen frost for 20 years :cute:   Your trip sounded wonderful, really glad you both enjoyed it so much :D :D xxx

It's dull here, and fairly chilly. We'll be out for breakfast in a while, and just the usual Saturday stuff here, although I do want to go to The Range at some point to look at bedding - I've looked around town and online for a new set for our bed, but not seen just what I want yet.

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

Dull, grey, cold this morning, but no frost :Hi: Yesterday will hopefully have been the last of our frost as we're actually getting into double figures at night from tomorrow :Hi:

Glad you had a such a good time Ally Always good to catch up with family.

Cleaning morning for me and then I'll wander around the garden, feeding all the plants before tomorrow's rain.

Our trees arrived yesterday :Hi: but we're keeping them near the house for another couple of weeks, before we plant them out. And I've ordered six shrubs  so will wait until they're ready to go out before we decided where to put things 8-) Two plants we'll dig up and put them into pots, as they really are not happy with the cold and frost. So can keep them near the house, which is normally frost free.

If it warms up, we'll pop down the bar later, before the curry.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s dull and chilly here. A fairly lazy day is planned, and we are going dancing tonight, I’m planning on wearing a new dress, I have three springtime dresses I have not yet worn so I’ll pretend it is Spring tonight and give one of them an outing ;) We need to practice a particular dance which will definitely be done tonight as our host invented it and won an inventive competition for it - we sort of did it last night but it needs a bit of work! There are so many sequence dances and it’s hard to remember them all. I also want to send some money to an Ukraine appeal being organised by a well known dance coach, ballroom dancing is working hard trying to keep going through the chaos there. I don’t like doing inter bank transfers, I’m always afraid I’ll get a number wrong!

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny, definitely colder though.

Glad your flight home was good and you had a lovely time with your sister Ally.
Good luck with the bedding hunt Kaz.
Hope you manage to keep the new trees frost free Jan.
Enjoy dancing this evening Osc.

Not much happening today, find it really hard to get going this time of year.

Hope you all have a good day xx
