Good Morning Friday

Postby JanB » 24 Feb 2023, 06:29

Morning everyone

Just getting light and rather cold. Rain for the week.end from this afternoon and a cold weekend too.

Up rather early, to head off to Beja in about 15 minutes. Hopefully, the appointment will run smoothly, start at 9.00, then 8.35, then 9.00 and finally the anesthetist at 11.00. I-m really hoping he&sh can give me an idea of when the op will be.

There is a garden centre on our way back, so we-ll pop in there, so have a look/see.

No idea what we-ll so when we get back, sleep probably

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Morning all, it’s pretty dull here but dry at the moment. Edward will be leaving to play golf shortly and I’m going to the gym later. Before that I need to do the usual tidying around, and go to the post office to take out some money. I also will ring my brother. Lazy afternoon, then dancing this evening.

Morning all :D

Definitely colder first thing. Bit of a mixture now, drizzle and overcast with fleeting glimpses of the sun.

Good luck with the appointment Jan, hope you get a date.

Usual Friday wash day and bed change for me. Also expecting a Sainsbury's delivery later this afternoon. It's all go here........

Hope you all have a good day xx

hello all; just a few minutes too late to say good morning - oh well :D

Jan, hope everything went well this morning x
Ally hope you get / got all the bits done today that you want to - enjoy the tapas!
Jen, Vic and Osc, hope you all enjoy your respective days. Osc have fun at the dancing
Crommers, I was shopping this morning and tomatoes were fine, but none of the pointed red peppers, only the regular bell ones (which is also fine ;-) ); and absolutely no spring greens - my poor chickens :( So got them a broccoli instead.
Saundra - if you've got quite a bit of stuff and can't get it to a charity shop then have a look at this site: https://anglodoorstepcollections.co.uk/ they collect from your doorstep and then sort the stuff and actually sell it aboard where it's more likely to sell and they raise money for different charities that way. I've used them twice now. You go online, see what day they're in your area and then book them in to collect on that day.

Well as said, been to Sainsbury's this morning and the rest of the day will be spent with the usual mix of work and pootle; more of the latter though as I have I have friends coming over for dinner so have to give the place a good tidy and clean. Being in the office 3 days a week makes such a difference, the house definitely needs more attention on the days I'm home . The friends are both vegan so I'm making a chickpea / spinach curry; it's from the website that Ally uses for her Lentil dish - he's got some amazing recipes on there

have a lovely rest of day everyone and a fab start to the weekend x

All went smoothly, thank you all x

Blood first, then had the x-ray, then the ecg.

Back to the car for our picnic breakfast 8-) The nearest cafe is quite a way, so we thought butties for breakfast, waiting for the next appointment. Because we were so early, we managed to park quite close to the main building, where I had to be.

Saw nurse, before the anesthetist, who did weight, bp (which was spot on :Hi: ) and told me what I should do before and then afterwards.

Back to the waiting room  before I saw a surgeon, who went through the same things, but also told me which tablets to take/not take on the day of the op.

Looks like it will be a general, rather than epidural, but I signed for both.

No idea when, apart from within the next couple of weeks. Just wait for the phone call

A lovely, sunny day now, although the clouds are getting bigger. Thick frost this morning
