Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 18 Feb 2023, 06:54

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 23°. 8-)

My walk shortly. :D

Sunbed reading this afternoon.

Normally when we come home from Friday beers we sit on the terrace with a glass of something and chat about the evening but last night Don suggested we watch the second episode of The Gold. :D
We were hooked!

Watched part three and it was only because it was 1am we didn't continue.

Tonight we'll binge watch the last 3 parts and have a Chinese takeaway for dinner. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

We have a sort of hazy sun, as the Sahara dust is back. Should be 21C.

Won't bother putting any ashing out and we will stay inside as much as we can. Grumpy needs to water the veg, but he can wear a mask.

Cleaning head on this morning and I'm going to excavate under the beds  The new vac won't reach that far, so hands, knees and a long handles brush will come into play

We might brave the bar this afternoon, if we get the normal phone call, but will be drinking water of coffee. Or maybe ice tea.

Proper bangers and mash for dinner :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s pretty dreary here - the sun peeped out briefly but obviously decided it was too miserable and retreated again. No plan for the day, although Edward is muttering about pulling out the bed to vacuum under it (great minds think alike, Jan!) I want to bring a ring to the jeweller in the local market to see if he can fix it, I've known him a long time and trust him, this is a ring that Edward bought me when we were first going out in 1968 and I’ve worn it almost continuously since until the band broke. It broke in September and I got it fixed somewhere in town, but then it broke again on the other side, so hopefully P will be able to repair it for me.

Good morning.
Grey and a bit windy here.
MrsC is with our daughter and Eliza at gymnastics.
I'm going for a paper in a minute.
I do hope the ring gets fixed Osc, that is such a lovely story.
21c? I would like a bit of that, please and thank you very much.
Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all :D

It's been dull and overcast all morning, the sun's out now.

Honestly we're getting worse, slept in quite late this morning. We've only just had brekkie and it's almost time for lunch :o Nothing planned for today, looking forward to watching The Masked Singer on the box tonight. It's complete nonsense of course, but we're addicted, I've managed to guess two right this season, it doesn't happen often

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s grey and quite breezy but pretty mild.

We’ve been for a long walk with Bill, there were lots of dogs for him to run around with today. Must be time for the fairweather dog walkers to come out of hibernation ;)

Tom’s gone into Birmingham for holiday stuff, it’s half term so he’s off to Berlin on Tuesday until Saturday. He’s ready for a holiday, they’ve had a stressful week with Ofsted turning up on Tuesday for a couple of days. Joe’s gone for a hair cut, he’s picking Amanda up later and then they want a lift to the station for the train into Birmingham for a night out.

We just missed some drama on the estate last night when we walked Bill! There was a fire engine parked by the village green as we walked around and it drove off as we walked past, couldn’t see what they’d been there for. The parish council later posted on Facebook asking for info on who was stuck in a baby swing on the playground and had to be cut free

Have a good day all :)

Evening everyone :)

We've been out all day, mostly round at D's as J and J are up from Weymouth :) We did nip to Corretto's first, for breakfast. Just had chicken curry for dinner, a SW recipe, and I've made started prepping my raspberry trifle, to take round to D's tomorrow - my contribution to Sunday lunch 8-)

Jen I hardly ever watch stuff like The Masked Singer, but am hooked this time, so will be watching the final tonight

Jo, that's hilarious

Love to all :) xx

Once the dust went, turned out to be a lovely day 8-)
The house is clean, even under the beds  I couldn't vacuum, as the cat was asleep and she hates, with a passion, loud noises.

So I took down all the glass wall light shades and cleaned them

Went down to the bar and the whole gang turned up. Threw Mitchell, as I wasn't drinking. He plonked a beer in front of me, but Grumpy had it instead - as well as his own

Fire now lit, it's chilly out there
