Morning all :)

Enjoy your special lunch, Ally :) xx

The news about the cyclone in NZ looks worrying, I do hope Weka and her family are safe.

I'm up early as I want to be showered and dressed before 8, as I have a GP phone appointment some time this morning. That means staying in, as I really don't want to be discussing my personal business whilst out and about. Why we can't just go back to the old system I don't know  Mick has a hospital appointment at 12 and I was hoping to go with him, but that depends whether I've had my phone call by then :? Mick's appointment was originally tomorrow but they changed it

Sorry for the moan

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning everyone

Grey cloud sat over our monte this morning   A cool 17C and rain forecast for tonight :Hi:

Hope all goes well for you both Kaz xx

Enjoy your lunch Ally x

I have some ironing to do and we might go down the bar this afternoon. I've not been drinking alcohol, because of the upcoming op, but will have a couple of beers and a glass or two of wine with dinner tonight, as I'm cooking steak, for Valentines Day :D

Hoping Weka and family are okay, it looks awful.

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Good morning.
Cold here. Frosty overnight with freezing fog, which hasn't cleared yet.
The car had it's MoT and oil change yesterday; £150 which isn't too bad, and no advisories.
Eliza is coming down for a while around midday, we may go out to the shops with her, she does like a bit of shopping!
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s dull and damp here. Edward has gone to play golf and I need to do some ironing as we’ll be out tomorrow and most of Thursday. I also want to make a batch of soup, lentil and bacon, one of my favourites. I had a message from my friend in Auckland last night, I’ve added it to Weka’s thread.

Hello and good morning everyone and happy Valentine's!

Crommers, we have the same weather here; the mist is really struggling to lift and it's cold.
Kaz; good luck with both yours and Mick's appointments. I hope you get your call in time so that you can go with Mick x
Ally and Jan, enjoy your respective Valentine's meals
LOL Saundra - wait until tomorrow and all the nice valentine's bits and bobs will be halfprice :D - amazing what bargains you can pick up
Ooh Osc, lentil soup is amazing - yum!!!

Working from home this morning and then heading over to Nadine's a bit later for a bite to eat and then carry on with getting her uni work typed up. She works better when she handwrites vs typing so I've promised her that I'd do the typing up of her notes whilst she dictates them; and usually in doing so she picks up on areas she's left out / can expand on etc - it seems to be working well so I'm happy to help as much as I can.

Sitting watching the bird feeder - the starlings have had their very loud breakfast session and now I've got some long tailed tits and a robin hanging about - so peaceful watching them

have a lovely day everyone xx

Morning all
App starting to play up again so I’ll make this quick as it’s late at night here and needless to say I’ve not had much sleep.

Update on my checking in thread. Osc, so pleased your friends are ok. The pics I’m seeing right across the North Island are just horrific. I’m on the north shore which was badly hit 2.5 weeks ago repeated 2 weeks ago. This time it looks like west Auckland got it worse.

Winds finally starting to drop now, haven’t felt the house shudder for about an hour.

And now I’m off to bed. Night all.

Have been to town for some shopping and to the bank. Will be doing housework this afternoon. It should keepme warm
May have to put the CH back on.

Have a good day everybody.
