My German doesn’t stretch much further We are comfortably ensconced beside a lovely open fire, having had our dinner, and relaxing after a 12km walk today. All well so far mostly. When I was getting on to the coach on Saturday evening for transport to our hotel, I had a vitreous gel detachment in my left eye. I had one in the other eye about 12 years ago, so knew what it was, otherwise I would have been off to the hospital yesterday morning. It’s not sore, just annoying as I have big floaters - they are sort of easier during the day when we are out and about as I wear sunglasses. But in the evening I get these flashes which are irritating, however it doesn’t stop me sleeping.
Yesterday, as some of you might have seen on FB, we went on the gondola to the top of the mountain, it was glorious, white snow and huge blue sky. Very busy with skiiers and snowboarders, even very small children flying around on skis. Today, we picked out a trail to follow along a river, as I said 12km so we were very glad to get a bus back, and an afternoon snooze was required! Tomorrow we plan a loop hike up into an hilly area, and will be enquiring about trying snowshoe walking on Wednesday. One of the days we might take a train to a nice lake area that the rep told about where there is a good walk, it depends on the weather really (and the availability of somewhere for tea and cake

Thanks to Sky Go, he is keeping up with his sport and last night we were able to watch Dancing with the Stars Ireland. Let’s face it, we are not the apre ski type
