Surgery date

Postby Lozzles » 29 Apr 2013, 11:05

I have just been given a date in May for my joint replacement surgery, but I've cancelled it  Well I have asked them to move it to August :)
If I have it done in May (20th) that is 2 weeks before our tango break and I had to cancel the last one due to my loss of hearing and balance. I don't want to cancel this as it is our only break this year and we both really need to get away and dance. I know from last time that it takes about 8 weeks of physio and hospital appointments before I'm using my hand properly, so what with the break and D working in Geneva for 2 weeks in July I have asked them to change the date. I have to say I don't like cancelling appointments, but sometimes...

Loz, I really don't blame you - you deserve your tango holiday, I know how excited you are about going so it'd be such a disappointment to have to cancel again ((((Loz))))

Thanks Jo :D It's true, after all the hoohaa about my hearing I'm really looking forward to going away for a few days. I know I may still find it difficult with a room full of music and chat, but I'm willing to give it a go and I feel I need it for my sanity at the moment

The dancing break will do you the world of good Loz and you'll be ready to face anything once you've danced your cotton socks off.

All the best for when the op comes round. xxx

Good luck with it all Loz, and you were dead right to get your dancing in first! :)

You're absolutely right Loz, it's a good thing you've been through it before and know just how long it takes.

Loz you've had a tough time, and so deserve the break. Look at it this way, you cancelling the May apt means that someone else will get their op sooner 8-) ;)

Loz, as ever you have your priorities right - dancing first and foremost and the rest follows on  You will love your dance break and you really need it too, lovely to have it to look forward to.
