Good morning Ally,

Just seen it on the news Manchester airport is closed because of snow on both runways. It is now snowing here so may not be going out today.
Had planned to go for lunch but have cancelled and will go next week. So another day of just pootling.

Have a good day everybody.

Good morning - awful day here in the Vale, we have a blanket of fog, and the temperature's below freezing with everything covered in white frost.
There have been numerous road accidents locally over the last couple of days with the roads suddenly developing black ice in the evening and motorists being caught out.
We're not venturing outside; we're awaiting a visit from the domestic appliance engineer over the ongoing saga of our fan oven heating element. We can still use the top oven bit, but this has been going on since last October.
Mrs O is still preoccupied by her S, who contracted flu in the run up to Christmas, and has now had two spells in hospital as the bug seems to have possibly triggered an underlying hypertension / heart murmur problem for which she is being tested. It is difficult to get hold of the truth at the moment, but we hope to visit her next week and may learn more.
Master O starts a new job next week; same organisation but different location. He will be monitoring drug / alcohol addicts sentenced by the Beaks to rehabilitation / community service orders. Sounds like he might be visiting places such as the half-way house in Crommers' village ....
No football for Ossie since early December due to bad weather, Christmas and general creakiness and lethargy.

Onwards and upwards,
Take care all.

Morning everyone

A lovely, sunny morning with bue sky, but very cold. Think we-re getting up to 13C today

Went out to put clothes in the washing machine and it's really cold out there

I-ll put the washing out when it-s warmed up a little and we'll see if we can get some work done outside, well wrapped up, again, once it warms up. The daft thing is, the sun is really strong and you have to wear a hat, so get hot quicker

Making a beef casserole for dinner tonight and then more books to read :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Stay warm over there xx

Morning all, it’s mostly sunny here, no snow but a heavy frost and it is very cold. Usual busy Thursday for us, dance practice this morning then back to collect Kellie from school and have her here for the afternoon. Michael isn’t coming as he thinks he will have a lot of homework. I put three travel bags on a FB Freecycle page yesterday evening and someone is supposed to be collecting them this evening. It really is a great way of making sure serviceable stuff doesn’t get thrown out but can be used by someone else. Right, need to tidy up before we go out.

Snap!
We have been oven-less since Boxing day. Had I realised that finding a replacement element would be such a faff I would have just bought another oven.

There is a dusting of snow here; it is sunny but very cold.
I have successfully negotiated the obstacles that Norton place in your way and managed to cancel my virus protection today.
We are going out to Sainsbury's soon and that will be that for the day. I need to get sidelight bulbs and a new rear wiper blades for the car from Halfords, but no way am I standing around in a freezing car park for who knows how long whilst it gets done.
Keep warm everyone and have a nice day.

Good morning all

Ally, enjoy the lunch!
Cruiser, makes sense staying in and warm (and safe)
Ossie, fingers crossed for Mrs O's S; hope they get to the bottom of things and good luck to Master O
Jan, hope you manage to get some of your work done but if not, then plenty books to keep you busy
Osc, hope the freecycle person collects and totally agree - I hate throwing away perfectly good stuff that I just have no use for anymore; Freecycle and Olio have been great, as has my local FB selling page (just put 0 as value).
Crommers hope you get your things sorted and then back home to the warmth. Good luck to you and Ossie for the ovens!

Another office day for me so nothing exciting to report. Sunny weather but cold which seems norm for most of us

have a lovely day everyone xx

Morning all :D

Bright sunshine with a very heavy frost.

We had a lovely walk yesterday, I did manage the steps, but definitely paid for it when we got home. Feet up and painkillers, but I really need to persevere, don't want to be too crocked when we go on holiday.

Usual Thursday trip to M&S for us shortly. I've already popped a casserole in the slow cooker so I won't have to do too much when we get back.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all from the ice rink that is our close.

We’ve got a mix of sunshine and snow showers this morning, I’ve not taken Bill out because it’s too icy. He’s not impressed.

John was back before Midnight last night, they’d managed to get an earlier train than they’d planned to.

Good to see you Ossie, hope Mrs O’s sister gets well soon and good luck to Master O in his new job! I think me and Joe have done your share of football matches as well as our own since Christmas.

Have a good day all :D

Good luck to Master O for his new job Ossie, and I hope all will be well for your SiL xx

Beef casserole sounds yum, Jan 8-) xx

Freecycle pages serve such a good purpose Osc 8-) xx

Crommers, we gave up on the dodgy fan in our oven and bought a new one. Mick tried to fix it, but... Xx

Have a good office day Ria xx

Hope that eases off soon for you Jen xx

It's very icy here too Jo :? Glad John got home ok :) xx

Another beautifully sunny but icy day here! Been to Sainsbury's with D, got home and M and I have had an early lunch as I'm going into town with D later, for the fitting of her new hearing aids. Pilates tonight! Busy day, so it's just as well my back is easing off nicely :D

Take care everyone :) xx
