Morning all, it’s just starting drizzly rain here. I didn’t get to sleep for quite some time last night thinking about the family across the road and the agony they must be suffering. Miss Osc has a “reliable source” and tells me that they dragged the harbour last night (we could see them working from our window, they were there until almost 9pm) but did not find him, so they don’t know where he is whether dead or alive :(

The plumber will be back later today, he had to get another part, but at least he got the heating going for us yesterday evening. Honestly, you would imagine a boiler that was only installed eight years ago should not need three parts replaced, added to the two parts he replaced two years ago. Edward is busy setting up his new iPhone 14. I have no list for today so will just see where the day takes me.

Morning everyone

Dull, grey and damp here with a few showers forecast.

Amazing what a couple of beers and a couple of glasses of wine do. Didn't wake up until 9.45

Off to Ourique this afternoon, as a friend is going to try and install some Portuguese verbs in our heads. Nicely, I hope  Although we can converse, there are still gaps in our vocabulary, so hopefully Sonia can help.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

So sad for the family across the road Osc. Hope the plumber gets the boiler sorted.

We're off out to Westwood Cross in the next hour or so, it's a day early for M&S so we'll need to stock up a bit.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon everyone.
We have been to do a supermarket shop and get the paper.
In a while I will be cooking a chilli and that's about it.
Grey and windy here.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon all!

Osc, that’s just tragic :( xx

It’s yet another wet day here, totally sick of it really  We’ve been out for a cuppa, but it was too wet for our walk round the docks :cute: We nipped to Sainsbury’s and are now round at D’s. Zumba tonight.

Take care everyone :) xx

We had a lovely time with Sonia, sorting out how much more we need.

But what is it with the Dutch? They were almost saying that they knew more Portuguese than Sonia  So arrogant and she was quite upset, afterwards.

Had a quick drink with her and in walked one of the local policemen that we knoew, off duty. How's your neighbour, he asked. Please don't say anything more problems

So we just told him that he doing what he wants, now has five dogs - one of whom had a go at our car on our way home   - and that Brian was Brian. We left it there.

We're going to meet Sonia every Tuesday evening, along with Bernie and another couple from Castro Verde, to improve our language skills. Looking forward to it,
