Good morning Ally.

It is DD day today. That is Decoration Down day. I will also clean the windows where the lights have been.
So lots of up and down the stepladders and packing everything into the boxes. Lots of exercise. No need to go to a gym.

Have a good day everybody.

Moring Ally, Cruiser and everyone

#Lovely, sunny morning, with a bright blue sky, but by heck, it-s cold out there  8C at the back but 25C in the front / because it-s in full sun  Think we had a bit of a frost, but all gone now. Another cold night tonight, then back to a little bit more normal. 6C   16C for us today.

No idea what we'll be doing today, pootling doing something or other. Car not coming back until "late" tonight

More stew for us tonight. Jan brought up some bread yesterday, as although I thought I had another loaf in the freezer, I didn't  so we can have a stew butty  (only kidding ;) )

Be careful on those step ladders Cruiser x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Conundrum of the day - how can spectacles, which you wear all day, put down at night, get so grubby?

Morning all, it’s bright and sunny here and not too cold. Edward is going to play golf. I have an introductory meeting with a photographer at 11.30 - Miss Osc gave us a voucher for a family photoshoot for our 50th so this is a preliminary chat before the actual photoshoot on the 14th. We had a nice time in town yesterday, Edward got the shirt he wanted and I had an M&S voucher so got two dresses for wearing in the summer, both half price :D We bought an M&S meal deal - pasta, sauce and garlic flatbread for €9 which actually was enough for two days, so today’s dinner is taken care of too. I think most of the decorations will come down this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

Good morning.
Sunny and windy here. We are taking the tree down today as well.
Then paying the BBC licence fee, then going shirt shopping at the Double 2 factory shop.
Jan, i still remember my mother going around the house, mumbling crossly "Where are my glasses?" when they were on the top of her head!
Have a good day all.

I know that feeling Crommers. I used to put them down, and then couldn't find them  Never put them in the same place, couldn't remember where I'd put them

It's now warm enough to go outside without a coat ish. Lovely and warm through the windows 8-)

Jan, the best one was where my mum hard boiled an egg. Then later tried to crack an egg for the yorkshire puddings - using the egg she'd earlier hard boiled. My dad was in stitches!

I've done that too

If I can't find anything, Grumpy says "look in the fridge first" as I once put a bag of ash from the fire in the freezer

In my defense, I was cleaning out the freezer, put everything on the floor and didn't know he'd put a bag of ash down by the back door, where all the other bags where

hello all and good morning

Crommers that made me giggle :D
Jan, I'm forever misplacing my glasses - because I use them for reading only I ended up buying who knows how many pairs from the pound shop and now have them all over the place; but still never there where I need them when I need them :D. My proper prescription ones that have an occupational lens are always by the computer because that's where I need those; but the others... sigh

Cruiser, please be careful on that ladder! Report back once done please :D

Not much in the way of decorations for me to take down, because they never went up :D (because of the wall removal etc). I've got one small potted tree that has a string of lights, and two other decorations inside; and outside only one string of icicle lights along the fence; that's it. Need to find a replacement for the icicle lights though as they light up the footpath so well. The rope light I have just isn't strong enough.

Have a lovely day all x
