Happy 2023 everyone, wishing us all a healthy and happy New Year :D xxx

We sort of saw in the New Year, the fireworks woke us up just before midnight   No big plans today, we're out for brunch is a while, then round to spend a few hours with D. Chicken for later.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning everyone and Boa Ano

Cloudy but very mild this morning and we're forecast rain this afternoon :Hi:

Getting much colder from tomorrow and I really must try and sort out a delivery of wood, we're going to run out within a week

We've decided on a day off from weeding, although there is one path - to the compost heap - that really, really needs doing, so I might just attack that after breakfast.

Breakfast is a fry up, sausages, bacon, eggs, fried bread, mushrooms. Grumpy wants baked beans, but I'm not a lover of them, and as I'm cooking, we're not having
them

Will prep the chicken breasts for a pie later and also make a stew. Definitely stew weather coming up.

Have a good day everyone, hope the hangovers aren't too bad ;)

Must admit aquadent makes me sleep well

Good morning everybody.
Ally, I wil have to buy a model train set so I only have small drinks!!

Watched the fireworks last night. There were displays at the front and back of the house.
It is raining now but there is some blue sky in the west so it may brighten up later. Just pootling today.
There is a 12 seater mini bus parked across the road. Don't know which house it belongs to. Someone must have been having a party.

Best wishes for 2023 to everybody.

Good morning.
Grey and damp again, rain is forecast for this afternoon.
The fireworks were very loud last night here too Kaz, much louder than bonfire night.
Our son has gone to a wedding in Tadcaster today.
Our go-to shop for white goods is shut until Tuesday so we are still without an oven. MrsC is boiling a ham for Sunday dinner.
No hangover here Jan, this Christmas I've not drunk much.
A Happy New Year to one and all.

Morning all ,no fireworks for me was really shattered last night after being up at 4.15 a.m yesterday morning ,we were dog sitting for our son and family. They went to Longleat to see the light show got absolutely soaked as the rain didn't stop all day.
Usually she is no trouble but the wind disturbed her it was really howling and somebody's gate was banging in the wind.
Had a good lie in this morning !
Happy New Year to all .

Happy New Year all, it’s a pleasant morning here. We were well asleep by midnight, Edward said he heard one or two fireworks but I heard nothing. I plan to do as little as possible today, maybe a stroll around the block, but then it will be knitting/reading/jigsaw. Happy Valley is back tonight, hurray! And Call the Midwife :D
