Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 29 Dec 2022, 02:48

Good morning.

The sunshine dial seems to be stuck at 22°. Sorry Crommers. 8-)

Up at sparrow o'clock to take friends to the airport for their flight to Mexico.

I'll have a walk when I get back and it's light.

Like yesterday I plan to sit in the garden reading. :D

TV tonight and a Chinese takeaway for dinner. :?

Have a great day.

The moondial is stuck at -2 degrees over here.
Lots of grey clouds and more rain is forecast. Will be going to the bank later and then to make a phone call to Virgin. They want to take six months payment
in January. I am also going to send a letter of complaint to CEO of Virgin.
Will then be dusting and polishing as my son is coming tomorrow.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :)

Nice and dry, think we're in for some sunshine later.

Up at silly o'clock, I've got a hospital appointment, for a pre assessment. Apparently it needs to be done to get me on the list for for the ankle surgery. I don't think it will make any difference to the timescale the consultant gave me, he said the wait is 9mths to a year.

We have to pass Westwood Cross so will pop into M&S for a few bits on the way back.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning everyone

Bit cloudy, but expecting another lovely arm day. Forecast is 19C, but we hit 25C yesterday 8-)

Will carry on working outside, more weeding and cutting back the agaves. Also need to cover some of the fruit trees, as expecting much lower night temperatures next week.

Hope all goes well Jen xx

Have a good day everyone whatever you're doing xx

It will be a lovely day for arms Jan.

It's not the day temps that are random. It's the fact we're throwing the duvet off through the night that's rather odd for this time of year.

We always keep our bedroom windows open all year so no change there.

Friends got off to the airport ok and I got back for an hour's kip and have had my walk. :D

Morning all :)

Ally that temp sounds absolutely perfect! If we get that in Cyprus in March I'll be delighted :D  xx

Hope the business with Virgin gets sorted Cruiser :) xx

Hope the assessment goes ok Jen, and that your op will be sooner rather than later xx

25° Jan? Heaven 8-) :D xx

We're going out for brunch, but first I need to get the washing machine going and zip round with the vacuum. Thinking about taking down the tree maybe tomorrow or Saturday, to have things nice and tidy to start the New Year 8-)

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning all.
A chilly wind out there but sunny atm.
22c you say Ally? I'm not jealous. Crikey no. (He lied) ;)
We are going to a funeral this morning. This afternoon we may go out looking for a new oven, ours having failed on Boxing Day.
Good job it didn't fail on Christmas day!
Have a good one everybody.

Morning all, it is quite bright here but very windy. Another lazy morning, I couldn’t stay in bed so late all the time but today might be the last one. We’re planning on going dancing this afternoon. I’ve started a very difficult jigsaw, 1000 pieces, I think it’s going to take about 6 months  It is this one https://www.theartfile.com/shop/christm ... les/jigx01

Morning all, it’s sunny!

John and the lads are off to stay with mother in law in South Wales today, they’ll be back tomorrow evening. Bill doesn’t like travelling that far, he gets so nervous in the car since the long drives to the eye vet, so I’m staying with him. John’s sister is cooking for them tonight, their mom has got away with it yet again. Theresa’s always so welcoming whenever any of us visit, both she and John are the total opposite of their mother  We felt guilty about how much she does so when she and her husband were in our area on a flying visit a few weeks ago we took them out for dinner as a thank you for all of the meals that she’s cooked.

My plans for today are to wait for the Amazon delivery, it’s subscribe and save day so there’ll be a fair few things, finalise the Tesco order for tomorrow, have a good tidy up and clean around and like Kaz I’m considering taking the trees down either today or tomorrow. I’ve also saved Call The Midwife to watch tonight when I have no interruptions

Osc, that jigsaw is lovely and might not be too difficult as there’s a lot of varied detail in it rather than large patches of the same. I’ve got one to start, I want to do that this weekend.

Jen, hope all goes well x

Have a good day all :)
