Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 07 Dec 2022, 06:28

Good morning.

Yesterday's meet was great fun!
A real good giggle and lovely to meet Nadine and our Cruiser. :D

The day was topped off by Jackie, Trev and myself winning the pub quiz.

I'm on the move again.

Final destination of my trip and I'm getting the train late morning to Nottingham. 8-)

Craig will meet me at the station and I'll be more than happy to schlep on the sofa for the rest of the day.

He's bought me my favourite pizza for dinner. :D :D

Have a great day.

PS Chatting to Wendy on the train home yesterday she was saying how much she'd enjoyed herself and that John would've been very happy that she was with us.
It looks like she could be a regular at the Brum meet. :)

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Going to be a very wet and windy day. We've been put on orange alert  But at the moment, the sky is a lovely mix of grey, with little slivers of pink and yellow 8-)

Glad you all had such a great time yesterday, Could Wendy be allowed to join us on here, if she wanted to?~

We're of to Ourique soon, I need to get a few things done before the rain hits us and we'll need to let some water out of the pool too, as it's nearly at the top

Will stop at the bar on the way back for a coffee and to write out the last of the Christmas cards to England and post them. Not that they'll be collected anytime soon. Think we're down to one delivery/collection a week

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

A very big thank you to Ally & Jenny for helping me to the station. I am not usually like that. I enjoyed the lunch and the company. Will stick to water next year!!
It is very cold and frosty, Had to de-ice the car before I went for the paper. I am sat here next to a radiator witha long sleeverd T shirt a thick wollen jumper
and an anorack keeping warm.
Am going to the opticians for an annual eye test. There should not be any change, Then back home to do the ironing. I will put the washer on while I am out.

Looking out of the window.tyhe CH boilers seem tobe going at full blast as I can see the exhaust smake coming out of the vent pipes.
Have a good day everybody.

Good morning all, it’s proper chilly this morning. I love this kind of weather though, bright sunshine and a frost.

Bill’s had a long walk and I’ve had a tidy around. I’m just about to do a click and collect order for Ikea. There’s going to be seven of us for Christmas dinner so the table will need fully extending and I need a bigger tablecloth.

It was so lovely to see everyone yesterday, just what I needed. Glad you got back to the station okay Cruiser
Ally, I said to Wendy that I hoped she’d come along again, it’d be lovely if she would.

Have a good day all :D

Good morning, a bright and frosty one here too.
In a short while we are away to B&M and Aldi and maybe M&S.
I need to book a taxi for a Christmas dinner we're going to on Saturday.
Apart from that I'm not really sure.
Have a good day everyone.

hello all and good morning :)

It really was a lovely day yesterday - the journey home took ages which did make for a bit of a long day, but so so worth it; always just so fab to catch up with everyone and have a good giggle. It would be wonderful if Wendy did join the future meets (Jan; no reason at all why she wouldn't / couldn't join on VV). Cruiser; your post made me giggle :) - but hope you're keeping warm today! Frank, hope you managed to get home OK yesterday? And Jo, I'm so glad you made it yesterday; was so good to see you and catch up.

Ally well done on winning the quiz and safe onward travel today.
Jan stay safe, hope the orange alert doesn't become more than an alert!
Crommers hope you get your bits and bobs for the day sorted.

In the office today, lots of admin'y things to do; and then this evening after work I'll be heading over to Wildlife Aid to drop off a 3rd little hedgehog that's too small for hibernation. First one was nabbed over the weekend and taken there; 2nd one on Monday evening just as I got home so had time to drive it over to Wildlife Aid before they closed; but then just before I was going to bed on Monday I spotted another one. I think they're all from the same litter, as all three only weigh just over 300gr which is half the weight they ideally should be to be to survive hibernation.

That's about the excitement for my day

Stay warm everyone! x

Morning all, it’s sunny and very cold here, only 4 degrees brrrr. We have a nice treat ahead of us today, for his birthday Miss Osc gave Edward a voucher for afternoon tea in The Shelbourne Hotel which is rather posh and she hoped we would use it around Christmastime. So we are booked in for 2pm, and afterwards we will wander down Grafton Street and see the lights. I do need to pop into M&S but otherwise no shopping required. I have most of the packing done for Friday, I’m really not looking forward to the trip to Southampton but it has to be done. After I’ve tidied around, I’ll get makeup and the glad rags on and we’ll get a bus into town around 12.30.

I’m glad you all had a lovely day yesterday :D

We have the rain :Hi: Not heavy stuff, that's for this afternoon, but a nice, steady downoiur. Just had to let four inches of water out of the pool :? ready for the next lot

Got everything done, ordered and cards posted, so that's me done for the day.

Going to make a stew for tomorrow.
