Few things irriate me

Postby JanB » 05 Dec 2022, 16:17

but not being on time is one of them.

I rang Hugo at 10.00 this morning about delivering a new gas bottle. We only get through one a year and I have to keep reminding him where we are

I'm on my way, he said.

FOUR hours later, he turned up :x

So that scuppered today's plans about going out.

The other one is the sheer incompetence of officialdom here and not being able to sack any-one.

Somehow or other, the young lady who did our forms last week, amended my parents' names  And gave Grumpy a five year temporary residençia, to replace his ten year one

I only have until Friday to pay for them, otherwise it's back up to Beja

I have been trying all day to get hold of SEF but the phone is constantly engaged and I've just fired another e-mail off. 119 calls to them and every time it's busy

119 calls? Sounds like our local surgery.

I do sympathise Jan, lack of timekeeping and sloppy work is pretty much guaranteed to put your bp up.

It's "aerated", and that means to be purified, and here was me thinking that you were as pure as the driven snow. ;) ;) ;)

I went into the kitchen, to fill our wine glasses, saw my phone and thought, I'll just try again  rang the SEF helpline - at eight minutes to eight, just before they close at eight.

It rang   :Hi: :Hi:

And that very nice Indian gentleman I spoke to a few weeks ago, asked me to hold.

So I did, until two minutes to eight.

Nope, he can't help me, we have to go to Beja

Even though it's their fault, and it would cost us another 40 euros in petrol :x :x And two hours of our time, travelling.

So we've decided to pay 15€ for Grumpy's five year and 18€ for my ten year, with all the mistakes and stuff 'em.

Next time we go to Beja, we'll go in, but until then, sod it.
