Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 05 Dec 2022, 06:23

Good morning.

Don's flight was delayed 30 minutes yesterday but he was delighted to be home in time for the footy.

This morning Jackie's got work from 8 till noon.
I shall very very happily chill out here. I've been like a Duracell bunny since I got to the UK.

When she gets home we're going to nip to Asda for a few bits and pieces and something for dinner tonight.
Yes... we're actually going to stay in!

Looking forward very much to a relaxing day. :?

The twins are flying to Barcelona this morning for a few days to meet up with their friend Victor who has been posted there with the Guardia Civil.

Craig's going to London this morning. He's got an Airbnb booked somewhere near Hyde Park and is going to Winter Wonderland. :)

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Very grey here and dry, for the moment. Not too warm at 16C.

Sergio is hopefully coming here this morning - as long as it stays dry - to put up the new dish for the tv in the bedroom and sort out the tv with English programmes. All very naughty, but what the heck. Means we won't have a conflict about which side to watch. I missed two masterchefs last week, because of the footy

Other than that, not doing a lot. We were lucky in that we just had a lot of rain and wind yesterday, a lot of places in the Algarve and Lisbon were/are flooded.

Leftover curry for dinner

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Piddling down, so Sergio won't be here today. Tomorrow is the only day for the next ten days, that we won't have rain apparently :? Hopefully, he'll get here tomorrow.

Good morning you two and everyone

Jan, fingers crossed for tomorrow. It'll be good to have that 2nd TV connected
Ally, enjoy a chill day :D they're very underrated and we don't have enough of them

In the office today and then looking forward to the day in Brum tomorrow :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

The weekend just flew by again; what with having the work done in the house I don't have any where to relax so just keep pootling about. Got the builder coming in tomorrow whilst I'm away to level the floor so we can get the laminate flooring back down; hopefully that'll be done this weekend. Need to get the plasterer in to come quote and then hopefully once he's been it's downhill to the finish :)

Have a lovely day all x

Having lived in a house for many years that we were slowly (very slowly  ) doing up, you have my sympathy Ria xx

Going stir crazy here, already

Hugo is coming "soon" with a new gas bottle and then we're going into Ourique. Post office to get some stamps, card shop for nice Christmas cards for daughter and grandsons, drop books off for Chris and have a coffee at the bar.

Sergio sent me a message last night, which I didn't see until I picked up my phone about half an hour ago  to say he'll be coming tomorrow 8-)

Nothing from SEF and they aren't answering their phone either :x

Morning all, it’s not a nice morning here, cold, mostly grey and the sea is pouring over the harbour wall. We had a nice weekend away, but we were very tired when we got home. Went to bed early and I slept for 9 straight hours  that never happens. On the last leg of the drive home yesterday, the tyre pressure warning sign came on in the car. There doesn’t seem to be a puncture but I’ve cancelled the gym for this morning and will take the car to the nearest tyre centre to be checked. Otherwise it’s all preparation for going away on Friday, getting laundry up to date, sorting out final stuff to pack etc, checking in for our flights and printing the train tickets. We finally succumbed last night and booked a bigger check in bag - we’ll still use the same smaller cases but now one of them can be over 10kg. I need to mostly pack tomorrow as we are busy Wednesday and Thursday then away early Friday.

Morning all :)

Dull and overcast

Enjoy your relaxing day Ally.
Hope Sergio turns up tomorrow Jan.
I hope it's all finished soon Ria, our renovations went on for months, it's the mess and dust that gets you down the most.
A busy week for you Osc.

We're still in recovery mode, no surprise we've had a nice lie in this morning. Planning a lazy day, nothing much happening, just a Tesco delivery later this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s a cold one!

John’s got this week off so we walked Bill early and then loaded the car up with rubbish for the tip. Mainly large pieces of cardboard from the 14 very big boxes we had delivered last week. We used to be allowed to leave large boxes at the side of the bin on recycling day but now we have to use bags for card and paper and anything that won’t fit in isn’t taken.

I’ve done some housework and I’m off to Stafford this afternoon to do some Christmas shopping. I’ve only bought one present so far! I’ll get the bus over there and then John will meet me for coffee when I’m finished.

Ria, our last house was a doer upper so I can understand!

Have a good day all x

Good afternoon everybody. A dull grey day.

Went to a charity shop for some more cards and took some crockery which I no longer need or use. Then back home and went to town on the bus.
Got money from the bank, bought some special cards. Came home had a coffee and finsihed writing the cards which had to be posted. Took them to the
post office as I thought some may need extra stamps due to size or weight. Also went and bought some brackets and nuts and bolts. Got them from
an engineering supply firm. I got four brackets, eight nuts and bolts for the sum of one pound. I think that is the minimum they can charge.

Will now write the cards I am going to deliver by hand. Have booked ther taxi to take me to the station tomorrow morning

Have a good day everybody.
