Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 26 Nov 2022, 05:00

Good morning.

Last of the busy days with sis.

Michele needs to print her boarding pass off for her flight tomorrow (she likes a hard copy as opposed to one on the app) so we're off up to cousin Ivor's as he has a printer.

Next is to cousin Simon who's going to show us round his newly built house he moves into in three weeks.

Next stop is a cuppa with our Aunt Jean. :D

Sis will go back to the apartment to start to pack and I'll go and visit my friend and her new granddaughter Emily. :D

I'll go back and half pack  paint my nails and get ready for a Christmas jumper party at the local pub.
There's a quiz, Irish bingo  and loads of my friends so guaranteed a great laugh. :D

Hard to believe that as I type my flight was just taking off this time last week. It has flown by in the blink of an eye.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Gorgeous morning and we'll hit the dizzy height if 21C later.

What on earth were you doing up so early Ally? And with such a busy day too. Enjoy x

Will finish off the cleaning this morning, Grumpy needs a haircut and then we're meeting friends down at the bar this afternoon.

Will take the recycling down, which has reached mammoth heights, due to the bins being full. So we'll half fill them again this afternoon

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

I'm usually awake at 6am Jan and my body clock still thinks it's on Spanish time so 5 am here means 6 to my brain.

I thrive on early mornings and late nights.

It also means I got my nails painted earlier than planned.
A very festive glittery green.

Morning all, it’s dull and dreary here with rain forecast. We were a bit late to bed last night due to watching the Late Late Toy Show - this is an Irish institution, a real family night of fun and silliness. Today I am going to a funeral, the brother of one of my best friends, he collapsed and died of a heart attack last Saturday while playing in a band in one of the local pubs :( He was the youngest (barely 60) and the only boy. My friend lives in Boston although she has a small apartment here. I can actually remember when he was born.

Then this evening we are going to a bit of a party in Miss Osc’s, mostly to celebrate Michael’s birthday last weekend, but also an opportunity for SIL to entertain his side of the family for the first time since they moved house during Covid. It’ll be his mother’s sisters, they are good fun, and of course all the cousins will be there so children running around. His father won’t be there, the parents are divorced and his mother won’t be in the same building as the father  Edward is currently making a pavlova to bring along with us. I need to do my bits and pieces then hit the shower, the funeral is at 2pm in a crematorium near the airport, the traffic is busy there at the best of times and even worse on a Saturday.

Morning all.
Osc, that's a truly sad thing, but at least the man went out doing what he loved.
Ally, I don't know where you get your energy from.
Kaz, was the Lord High Constable of England in? ;)
Enjoy the bar Jan.

A quiet day here, we'll pop up and see our daughter's lot later.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

We managed to get the lights up outside yesterday. They won't get turned on just yet, we'll wait until 1st Dec when we celebrate our 49th Wedding Anniversary. The tree's also up, just needs decorating now so that's my job for today. E's also going to get out in the garden to pick up all the palm leaves. It looks even worse than it did before he did it the last time. Goodness knows where they all come from, the tree looks just as full as ever :?

Hope you all have a good day xx
