Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 23 Nov 2022, 07:01

Good morning.

Yesterday was crazily full on but fab.

I absolutely love hooking up with members of my family.
My dear Aunt Maureen was over the moon to see sis and I on her doorstep yesterday. (We need a heart emoji.) :D

Today we're booked on the 11.23 train to Glasgow where we'll meet our childhood friends sisters Anne and Lynn.
We've known each other since the 1960s and meet up every time we come back here.
Their parents Lena and John were our mum and dad's best friends when we were growing up.
(Another heart emoji needed.)

Looking forward to a day in one of my favourite cities.
Lunch and a good old mooch.

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally
Where are you going? You have booked a train Is it a Hornby model?

I am going to Preston on the bus as I will not have to pay with my senior card.
It is raining heavily but it may stop by the time I am ghoing out.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

sunny with a few clouds around. Supposed to be dry today, will be good to have a dry day 8-)

Off to Ourique this morning, but only for supermarket shopping. Pit stop on the way back and I'll get a baguette for breakfast. Grumpy will have sausage and onion, I'll have leftover steak

Maling samosas this morning and this afternoon we're doing a steam clean demonstration at a friends house. They have been thinking of buying something like ours, so we take that and a few beers.

Back to concoct something from leftover chicken and foot too.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

No need to say that to Ally, she'll be having a blast :Hi:

Morning all :)

Lovely to be catching up with family and friends Ally :) xx

I think the rain is moving over from West to east, Cruiser. It was pouring down and very windy here an hour ago, now it's brilliant sunshine xx

I'm wondering what chicken and foot is now too Jan :D xx

Feeling slightly nervous here, as the appointment for my eyes has finally arrived. 9.50 at the clinic up near Sainsbury's. A retinal exam to look at the small bleed the optician spotted in my right eye, back in the summer. I know it won't be that dreadful, but I hate having my eyes poked about - probably a legacy of the squint op I had as a child which was a bit traumatic

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Hello strangers, good morning to you all and (again) sorry for the radio silence

Kaz (((hugs))) best of luck today x
Ally have just the best time with your friends. Think we need to warn the people of Glasgow that you're descending and about to cause mayhem? :D :D :D
Jan, chicken and foot - now there's an interesting combo LOL
Cruiser, have a fab day in Preston

I think as most of us in the UK, a very damp start to the day and it doesn't look like it's about to clear up. Hoping for a quieter day in the office today. Yesterday I got in late and just didn't catch up with myself. Building works at home are at a standstill until we get the beam installed on Saturday and then hopefully the rest should be fairly steady. I managed to sell my comfy recliner sofa and boy do I miss it - but I just knew that I wasn't going to get my asking price for the more expensive one and one of them had to go.

Hope you all have a lovely day x

Morning all, it’s sunny here but looks damp. I’ll be going to the gym for 11.30, then collecting Kellie from school at 2.30 and Michael will come here after school also - we swapped with my sister as we don’t often see Michael now since he went to secondary school, but today is his half day. Edward’s cuff links arrived this morning, they are lovely and he is delighted with them. I ordered Pandora earrings for Miss Osc and my sister and they are due to be delivered today. Just one more item ordered online and I think it will arrive tomorrow. The Sky engineer is due today to install Sky Q for us, apparently between 12-5. I made a big effort yesterday and dusted around the two tvs so he wouldn’t choke on the dust ;)

Thanks very much :) Everything was ok, apparently I have some unusual colouring at the back of my eyes, that made the optician think were blood spots. So nothing to worry about :Hi: Need to stay offline for a few hours now as everything’s blurry ;)
