Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 21 Nov 2022, 06:26

Good morning.

We had a fabulous day in Edinburgh yesterday and enjoyed a fantastic meal at the Auld Hundred.
It's beautiful inside. :D
A couple from Dublin were already sitting at the table when we took ours and they told us they were on their honeymoon. :D

They finished and left and another couple sat down. From Barcelona.
I had a wee blether with them and helped translate the menu.

Going to have a slightly relaxing morning.
I need to book 3 lots of upcoming train trips and phone my Aunt Maureen, cousin Gary and two uncles. :D

We're meeting a friend for lunch at 1pm in his break at work and after that go into Motherwell shopping. :D

Tonight sis will enjoy a glass of wine at the apartment (which is lovely and really well equipped) and I'll go to dad's old local to meet up with a group of friends. :cute:

Hope you all have a great day.

Good morning everybody.

Dull with lots of grey clouds.
Waiting for a phone call from the doctor at 9.00 a.m. Then going to the dentist for a check up at 10.40 a.m.
After that i will be going to the bank to change my pin number. I have changed banks and will be getting £200 for doing it. It has ben easy and quick.
Also the new bank is nearer the bus station and is open on Saturday morning.

This afternoon willbe doing some housework.
Ally, Glad you are enjoying your visit.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it is miserable here - wet, windy and water is pouring over the East pier. We are up early and heading out soon - Miss Osc and SIL are taking the children skiing in March and Lidl have their ski gear in this morning so we are going to get stuff for Michael and Kellie. Then we might head out to a shopping centre for a little while, but of course, Edward wants to be back for football at 1pm. We are in a World Cup sweep with Miss Osc and family, the draw was done last night in a video call and it was fun, Kellie was doing the draw and wasn’t quite able to pronounce all the countries but she got there and there were cheers and groans as we all got our countries. It’ll give us an added interest, SIL got England and Edward got Iran so we’ll see how that goes!

The scaffolding is almost down! Hooray!! :Hi:

That was good then Cruiser, £200 not to be sniffed at :D xx

Oh Jan, it must be SOOOO annoying  :cute: xx

Hope you get the ski gear Osc 8-) :) xx

It’s like a flipping monsoon here, but Mick dropped me into town. Been to the bank to pay in some cheques, the PO to post a birthday card, and am now nice and dry in the M&S cafe, waiting for Em.

Good afternoon.
That sounds like a nice place Ally. I don't know how you stand it Jan, I really don't. That's a good deal Cruiser.
Very cold overnight here, we had a frost this morning. It's still cold now and very grey.
I've gone right off the England football team and their manager Mr Wokegate. When they take the knee I hope they all do their cartlidge.
Have a good day everyone.

   hypocrites the lot of them Crommers.

More washing for me. Went through E's wardrobe and decided all his jumpers need a quick wash to freshen them up. Found a few other bits too so will be doing a couple of loads. Also need to give the spare bedroom a good going over. It tends to be a bit of a dumping ground these days

Hope you all have a good day xx

Well that was a successful outing. Went to Lidl, got the ski gear and Edward bought a pair of boots, at €24.99 it would have been rude not to. As we were coming out, the rain was torrential so we decided to just go home. However, Edward was looking for something which they didn’t have, so we decided to head off to the next nearest Lidl, about five minutes away but they didn’t have it there. So we headed back to the first Lidl to see if they had a gingerbread house and I found just one hidden behind gingerbread trains, we were delighted with that. A packet of Christmas tree shaped marshmallows, a small stollen and a packet of stollen bites somehow found their way into our basket too

I was walking behind Edward at one stage and noticed he was wearing odd boots  It turned out that he wore the other “pair” to the soccer match the other night, he shouldn’t be let out   The rain eventually stopped and we went for a walk around the block to try out his (matching) new boots.

Evening all, it’s been pouring down since 10am.

Joe had booked today off to watch the England game with his friends in a pub. He’s come home with a very fetching Budweiser boonie hat  Just me and John in at the moment and the USA v Wales match is on. Neither of us are watching it though.

Osc, how funny about Edward’s boots  Joe got Brazil in the work sweepstake. Tom got Qatar in the one at the school :?

Just waiting for an Amazon delivery. Our coffee machine is on the blink so I’ve ordered a new one, and decided to go back to a pod machine but I’ll get refillable pods.
