Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 21 Oct 2022, 06:16

Good morning.

Lovely and 26° forecast again. 8-)

Jacob's coming over between 9 - 10. :cute:

He's taking us for breakfast then we're going to Miramar for a shopping spree.

Conor's coming over late afternoon and him and Jacob will join us for Friday beers and tapas.
It's their 30th birthday on Sunday and it'll be lovely as all our friends have known the twins since they were ten and have watched them grow up. :D

Tonight is the start of the celebrations. :Hi:

Have a great day.

Morning everyone :)

A very happy 30th to your boys for Sunday, Ally :Hi: :Hi: I hope you have a brilliant weekend of celebrations :Hi: :Hi: xxx

It looks dull here today, rain forecast. Mick and I are going out for breakfast in a bit, Portivo Lounge in the Quays is great, especially in bad weather as they allow dogs in. Fraggle just lies under the table and waits for treats  Then we'll walk him round the Dock basin - definitely a raincoat day ;)

Have a good day everyone xxx

Good morning everybody.

Had a good day out yesterday. Lunch and drinks at the Ribble Pilot at Preston. I went by bus so I could have more than one drink.

There is some blue sky but it is cold. Have had to go and by two nnew bulbs for thr toilet. One went on Wednesday night and I didn't have
time to get new ones yesterday. They are now fitted and the light is working properly. Had to bring the step ladders up to reach the light fitting. It was
instaled many years ago when we had a new toilet instaled and tiles on the walls.
Have now done some ironing and am now going to Tesco. I like Lancashire Crumbly cheese and it is the only place Iknow which sells it. Will get some
other stuff as well. Still some ironing to do.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all.
Dull, grey and damp here. It has rained overnight.
We need a big shop today and we are going to get MrsC a train ticket for York tomorrow; she's having a meet up with old college friends.
We need the gas man quick, the shower this morning was icy.
Certainly wakes you up though!
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s wet and miserable here, down for the day according to the forecast. No golf for Edward and no dancing tonight either, as one of the couple who run it has Covid. So we were lazy, didn’t get up until after 9am and still to have our showers. I’ll do some ironing later, then reading or knitting. We might find a film to watch this afternoon, we did think of going to the cinema but our supermarket shop arrives between 3-5.

merry morning and happy Friday everyone

Ally, hope the boys have just the best weekend of celebrations
Jan, quiet day for you once the guests leave - dull, damp and grey weather is perfect for an afternoon snooze ;-)
Kaz, hope you enjoyed breakfast and the walk around the docks
Crommers, well done you - no way could I have a cold shower in this weather; I'd never warm up again.. brrrrrrrr
Cruiser, I'll keep an eye open for that cheese. I love Cornish Crackler but don't buy it very often. Where possible I try buy organic cheese and haven't seen an organic crackler in the shops (yet).
Osc, enjoy a quiet day of no pressure to do anything - much needed at times

Work from home for me today and it really just makes the day so much better; hoping that next week I only have to commute in one day so fingers crossed no-one schedules meetings. It's a dull grey and damp day here as well (think that applies to most of the UK at the moment :D ) so the non work pootling will be sorting through papers and generally more tidying

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Rain first thing, but the sun's out now 8-)

Sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned Ally.
Hope you enjoyed having brekkie out Kaz.
A good night then Jan
Hope you get your cheese Cruiser. Our favourite is Cornish Cruncher from M&S, yummy.
Eek a cold shower Crommers, rather you than me ;) Hope it gets fixed soon.
Enjoy your lazy day Osc.
No commute Ria, enjoy a day at home.

Wash day for me, at least the bed change is relatively simple this week, just the sheets to change. Expecting Sainsbury's later this afternoon, the text says it's all there.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Well that was a curate's egg.
Most of the shopping was fine, but still no Sainsbury's own brand wine gums. We have however sourced an alternative, the Natural Confectionery Company's Jelly Snakes and Dino Mix. Do not buy these - they are more addictive than crack cocaine!
They must be, because there were no Jelly Snakes left and only one packet of Dino Mix - and that only because it had fallan flat on the bottom of the box!
Honestly, the people round here are terrible; they go through a place like a plague of locusts, the Red Army couldn't do a better job of looting and plundering!
