Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.
Going out for lunch with a couple who we met when we went dancing. He is not very well. He has cancer and is not very good.
It will be nice to see them and have a chat and a drink. No alcohol I am driving.

It was sunny when I got up but clouds are coming over so we may have some more rain.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

The greyness is slowing going and we're in for another lovely, warm day 8-)

Watering done, just having a coffee, then I'll head down to the bar and try and catch the bread man. Somehow or other, I forgot to get some bread yesterday
Not into porridge just yet

More soup making later and Grumpy has to sort out one of the hose pipes. We had a Niagra Falls from one of them and I really hate wasting water.

Enjoy your lunch Cruiser, although it will be sad to see your friend so ill.

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Morning all, the weather forecast for the week was pretty accurate - massive thunderstorm and heavy rain last night and there has been more of the same so far today. The sun occasionally pops out but then the clouds close in again. We are not too bothered though, we’ve done what we planned to do so can just take it easy today and take things as they come. Still nice and warm though. We’ll probably go down to the little town later, have some lunch and there is a shop with lovely childrens’ clothes which is calling to me ;)

Good morning all

Ally, enjoy the market - I love the smell and sight of the fresh foods
Cruiser, sorry to read about your friend - I hope you have a lovely lunch and catch up with them
Vic you too have a lovely lunch catch up with friends; and sorry not used the Boots service but what a brilliant idea
Jan, fingers crossed you catch the bread man and fingers crossed Grumpy manages to sort the hosepipe
Osc, enjoy your day whatever it is you end up doing

Day 3 of 4 in the office for me today; going to be a long one today as I only had 3 hours sleep last night. Got home yesterday and just sat down on the sofa when a friend called; her dogs had a fight and she tried to separate them and got bitten quite badly in the process. I jumped in the car and by the time I got to her the ambulance was already there - absolutely top service! Long story short 6 hours in A&E was not how I imagined I'd spend last night; got home at 2am; and alarm went off at 5.30.

Have a lovely day all x

Ouch, nasty for your friend Ria. Hope she recovers quickly.

Yes, managed to meet the bread man. A new one from Santana de Serra, he was arriving just as I was :D so some lovely fresh rolls for breakfast.

I've sent two e-mails requesting a repeat prescription for Grumpy which have not been answered, so he'll have to go in to see the doc at the week-end. I know there was a glitch in the system in Ourique over the last few days, but if we have to go, we have to go in.

Off to make leek and potato soup and a curry.

We appear to be having rain next week :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Morning all :D

Wet

I haven't used Boots collect at the airport Vic, but it's a good idea and gets round the liquid allowance in carry on.

Rain, thunder and lightening last night. I set the alarm for silly o'clock so we could do the M&S run early. Just had brekkie. Sods law, it was lashing down when we went, it's brightening now we're back  No other plans for today.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all :)

We’re having a late brunch out, eggs florentine for me :D I will so need to get back on my diet when we get home!  It’s a wet day but we’ve found a cafe here in town with open sides, so it’s like being outside but sheltered :) We got the ferry here, it was really choppy again! Need a few bits here in town, milk etc, so will nip into the Co-op at some point. We’re planning on walking back later, via North Sands to run Fraggle on the beach, but if it’s still raining we might well get the ferry back. Home tomorrow, it’s sped by!

Enjoy the food market Ally xx

Sorry to hear about your friend, Cruiser xx

Yours too Ria! Sounds like a very long night (((x)))

What kind of soup Jan? I do love soup :) xx

Osc I would love a grandchild to buy clothes for. B’s friend recently had a baby, and I couldn’t resist the opportunity to buy some cute things  xx

Vic no, but I do usually buy our toiletries at the airport so I can carry them on. I find there’s plenty of time once airside xx

We had similar weather last night Jen xx

Love to all xxx
