Morning Ally, morning everyone

Mist rapidly clearing and another lovely, warm day 8-)

Rubbish night. Dogs barking until 12.30  then I couldn't sleep, so read until 5.00 and am now up again  Too much going on in my head

Plant feeding this morning, ready for watering tomorrow, so a stroll around the garden seeing what plants have survived the rabbits  Honestly, if it's not voles munching the veg, it's rabbits eating my carnations and digging bulbs up

Might go out for dinner tonight, might not. If not, it's panados and veg.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s another scorcher here. We are up early as we are off to Wicklow again, just for the day. Edward, Michael, SIL and his father are playing golf in what is known as a family scramble. Miss Osc is leaving at lunchtime to come back up to Dublin, to do as much work as she can and start preparing for their holiday, they are going to Fuertaventura on Saturday for a week. SIL will bring the children to Dublin tomorrow. This afternoon Kellie and I are going to the beach and I may actually swim in the sea for the second time this century! We’ll eat in the golf club when the golf is over before we head home.

Morning all :)

Enjoy the therapy, Ally :D xx

Jan, it's rotten when you can't sleep :( xx

That all sounds lovely Osc, your weather does look great - a good few degrees cooler than ours but still beautifully warm - perfect :D xx

It was a very hot night here, and I slept badly as it was making me feel sick and dizzy  Feel better this morning after some breakfast and lots to drink. Shopping with D as usual, then staying indoors with the fan on. It's forecast 34° here later. I'm definitely not as well as I was before the covid, hoping I will feel 100% soon as I hate being under the weather :cute:

Take care everyone xxx

Morning everyone.

It will b e 31 °C later and Osc's tales have made me want a paddle in the sea.

Like everyone else I had a restless night. The heat is stifling and there is no wind, not even a light breeze.

Shelf building today with the stuff from Ikea yesterday and that's it.

Keep cool and hydrated everyone.

Good morning everyone :D

Ally, enjoy the retail therapy and dinner later. When do you fly back home?
Jan, as Saundra says - lots going on for you. Hopefully tonight is a better night for you
Osc, enjoy the day - sounds quite perfect to me
Kaz, do take it easy. A friend of mine had Covid a good few weeks back and same as you is really struggling to get to 100%. She's just constantly exhausted - her work day takes everything out of her so when she gets home she more or less collapses in a heap.
Saundra, hope you have a good day whatever you decide to do

Another usual / usual for me. Karl, Nadine and kids are off to Weymouth today for a few days - will do them good. I'm on standby for dog sitting in case Nadine's cousin has issues
I have a vet appointment for one of my cats this afternoon - he needs a blood test and his claws are so long he keeps catching them; and he just will not let me clip them. He's the most placid cat usually, but try clip his claws and he becomes demon cat - so will happily pay the vet to suffer scratches and bite marks :D :D :D - money well spent

Have a lovely day all, stay cool x

Not worried about that at all Saundra. It's just idiot next door and what else he can think of.

He insists on a clear 10 meter wide strip, so if the forestry bods say we can't cut the trees, then we will have to move our gates and fencing back. Then Nuno says that he might insist on a different access, which could well run across our field. Well, that is not going to happen.

He knew what the access was like before he bought the land. Can't cut trees down, so tough. Find different way. Can't see why it's up to us to find him a way to access his land.

He's now got a shepherd hut (gypsy caravan) and a mobile house on his land by the house, for tourists

No idea how many mobile homes he wants to put on his new land and how many times he'll want access for an artic with the home on it.

Good morning all.
Scorcher here too, but there is a light breeze.
I hope you feel better soon Kaz. Fingers crossed you have a good night's sleep tonight Jan. Enjoy the retail therapy Ally!
Enjoy the tea and toast Saundra! Enjoy your swim Osc. Keeping hydrated is a good idea WM. I didn't yesterday and got a bit headachy and dizzy.
Ria, poor puss! (Or poor vet!).
Out to pay a bill soon and then packing as we are off to Whitby tomorrow for a week.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, it’s so hot!

Bill had his early walk and then it was back to mow the lawns while it was still shady around the side and back of the house. No other plans today apart from doing the shopping order (can’t wait to have dinner which isn’t salad  ) and going to the Odeon tonight to see Bullet Train (as long as their air con is working, we didn’t get past the trailers when we went to see the new Railway Children - if it’s failed again then I’ll know not to book train related movies during the Summer :P ).

We went to Ikea last night for the click and collect order I placed earlier in the day. First time we’ve done that and it worked brilliantly. I’d booked an 8pm-10pm collection but had an email mid afternoon to say it was ready. When we arrived we had to park up and click on a link on the email to say we were there and to enter the car reg, the order was then brought out to the car. We’ll definitely use that again when there’s something specific we want.

Kaz, I hope you’re soon back to feeling 100%. Take it easy x

Have a good day all :D
