Good Morning Wednesday

Postby JanB » 10 Aug 2022, 07:08

Morning everyone

Mist still lingering but will a lovely day once that's gone.

Yesterday's cooking and ironing will be done this morning :D And no Ria, we didn't have to buy another freezer. Nowhere to put one, for a start  But all the freezers will be stuffed and when I have more room, I'll make some soups too.

Apart from that, not a lot. Swim this afternoon and making a sort of caeser salad for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Jan.
A beautiful morning here and it's predicted to be even warmer than yesterday.
Eliza is here, we are going to Pontefract for a mooch around this morning.
Salad for us too! It's too hot to be doing a lot of cooking.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Cromwell, Jan.

It is very warm here and getting warmer.

I am also having a sort of slaw for tea with chopped apple, sultanas and cashew nuts added, and just a hint of curry powder to the mayo, either with grilled chicken or spiced mackerel fillets.

Off to Ikea later to get some shelving units to replace the old stuff in the kitchen and dining room.

Stay cool and stay hydrated and enjoy the good weather while it lasts.

Morning all, another gorgeous day, we’re absolutely loving this weather. No major plan for the day. Edward is out on the terrace tidying up the pots, he says it’s almost too warm for doing it. I’m going to tidy around and then might sit out reading for a while. At some stage I need to phone Tesco, we are experimenting with getting our grocery delivery from them as they seem to be cheaper than SuperValu which we have been using for the last couple of years. They offer free delivery for over-65s but you have to phone them. There is ironing to be done also, maybe later.

Good morning all (just)

a warm day here as well - house is nice and cool so I'm happy. Do have to water some cucumber plants rather urgently though; walked past it a few minutes ago and it's very flat :(
working from home today so the usual mix of pootle and work.

Quiche and salad for dinner for me tonight - I see a recurring theme here :D

have a fab day everyone xxxx

Morning all :D

Hot 8-)

You sound busy with all the cooking Jan.
Crommers have a fun mooch with Eliza.
Hope you get what you need in Ikea WM.
Step away from that ironing Osc
We're living on salad Ria.

Off out for a walk in the next hour or so, our usual stroll along the seafront and of course we'll stop at The Pavilion for a light lunch, well I do need a rest before walking back

Stay cool and have a good day xx

Afternoon, it’s far too warm here. We’re forecast 32° today.

Bill had a very early walk and I got the housework done as soon as we got back. It’s no fun lugging a hoover up two flights of stairs in hot weather  I will say this though, it’s clear to see - almost two weeks after Tom moved out - who the messy one was and who created the most washing
He’s on his way over actually, we returned a damaged coffee table leg to Ikea for them last week so he needs that plus I found his Aeropress coffee maker in the back of a cupboard so he’s taking that too.

I’m off to Ikea later, I’ve just placed a click and collect order for a cover for the chair we have in the office and some more storage for in what was Tom’s room. I’ve got a work table to go in there for my sewing machine and the rest will be storage, he took his wardrobe but didn’t need his bed, bookcase or storage unit so they’re all going to replace the furniture in the spare room as Tom’s bed is better quality than the one up there. The newly covered chair out of the study will go in his old room and my cross trainer will be moved back indoors and into there too, it went into the garage at the start of the first lockdown when Joe was using it as a makeshift gym along with the bike turbo trainer.

Have a good day all :D

There's going to be eight of us Jen, so wanted to get it all out of the way beforehand. Otherwise, I'd be stuck in the kitchen whilst everyone else is having a good time.

We're planning on two meals out too.

Afternoon all :)

Very very hot here too, I went into town to meet my friend J for a cuppa - M&S cafe nicely air conditioned ;) - but then realised it was too hot to walk up to D's - so after nipping to the pound shop for some sink unblocker for the ensuite basin (oh, the glamour) and picking up yet more salad from the Foodhall, I caught a bus home! I am definitely still a bit drained from the virus :cute:

Love to all, take care in the heat xxx
