Saundra and Frank - we really really could do with some rain down here so please send some this way. Just looked at one of the weather forecasts and not a drop in sight for the next two weeks. Of my six water butts, three are empty and I'm sorely tempted to fill them up with the hosepipe now so I can use that water in the coming weeks, because I'm sure we'll get a hosepipe ban sooner rather than later; the water butts are closer to the greenhouse and most of the pot plants so it'll save quite a bit of lugging around of watering cans.

Morning all, the sun is shining now although it was raining earlier, and it’s rather humid. First full day at home since last Thursday and we are going to Wicklow tomorrow to spend the night, so there’s plenty to be done today. My new driving licence and public services card arrived, the photos are AWFUL At least the driving licence is only for three years, but the other one is for ten years Better get moving and start doing stuff…….

Bright and sunny

We're off out for a nice walk along the seafront in the next hour or so. I'll probably need the ice packs when we get back, but it will be worth it.
