Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 31 Jul 2022, 05:54

Good morning.

Nice again. :D
Don is sweltering back home.

Yesterday's visit to the escape room was an eye opener.
I can confirm Craig is a sensible logical thinker and I'm a hopeless giggler.

We're going to walk into the city centre this morning.
Craig's going to buy brunch and I'm buying him new Converse and running trainers. I've got the bum deal.

There's a food and drink festival going on so we'll have a look at that and no doubt sample aplenty.

Have a great day.

Misty, slate grey sky and showers forecast right through till this evening... and at 21 °C with 91% humidity it is muggy.

You sure did get the bum deal, Ally, especially if "buying brunch" turns into free nibbles at the food fest.

Morning all.
Just down the road from WM so the weather isn't much different. The rain it raineth most rainily. All good though because we certainly needed it.
We'll walk Dobby soon and our son is coming over for Sunday dinner at 4pm.
Apart from that not much doing here. July 31st though - this month has just shot by.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everybody.

There must have been a lotof rain in the night. There was a very large puddle at one of the road junctions near where I live. It is always the same
and cars go on the wrong side of the road to miss it. Have been to Tesco to get petrol and do some shopping. I am getting very low on cow juice(Milk)

Will just be pottering this afternoon.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :D

There was a sprinkle of rain earlier, over before it really got going. The sun's out now and it's very warm.

Whoop, whoop we've booked 33 days in Barbados for next spring (26Apr-29May) can't tell you how excited we are :D :D :D It was such a disappointment when our last trip was cancelled because of lockdown. Would like to stay even longer, but now I'm over the 75 limit, the travel insurance dictates how long you can be away for each trip. We've decided to stick with Lavern the host we were booked with just prior to lockdown. She was brilliant with us at the time, refunded within a day, her reviews are great. Also we know the area well and won't need a car, another plus as that's more hassle to arrange at my age. The beach is just 5mins walk from the apartment and the rental includes free access to a lovely beach club so we'll get plenty of time in the sea. Even better we won't have to fork out for beach beds

Having an easy day, I popped a gammon in the slow cooker yesterday so we'll have that cold with salad for dinner this evening, strawberry blancmange with raspberry jelly for pud. Oh and a bottle of bubbly to celebrate 8-)

Stay cool and have a good day xx

Ooops, I thought I had posted!

Afternoon all :) I got the merest, almost invisible, shadow of a + this morning, so we're going round D's in a minute to say hello to J and J who are up from Weymouth until tomorrow :) We nipped to B&a earlier, my patio plants did so very badly during the heatwave that we've decided to just start again! Got some beautiful dahlias, and a love!y pink "New World" hanging basket. Also some more shingle for the edges round the shed etc as it's wearing thin. We've had lamb chops, roasted baby potatoes, and minted peas for dinner. Pink lemonade ice lollies for dessert :D

Jen you lucky ducks!! What a great thing to look forward to :Hi:

Love to all xxx
