Mr Shell said 'they'll be a twist" but I knew they weren't that clever

I found tonights episode gripping and the bit at the end with the beacons was very emotional. I know, I know - it's only fiction.

I really enjoyed it - there will always be holes in stories but it was so well acted and Ellie's reaction and portrayal of her despair was so convincing I was blubbing. Powerful stuff. I hope they win evey BAFTA going.

as long as they don't win the scriptwriters one that is.

I thought the best actor in it was whoever played Beth, I though she was brilliant

She played Ruth Bowen Shell..the mum of little Alice who drowned.

Tessa Peake-Jones (Raquel from Only Fools and Horses) played her miserable faced m-i-l.)

Oh yes Beth was good :)
I found the whole thing completely implausible, but still enjoyed it.

Complete and utter tosh, wish I had listened to Fugi

I am cross, can you tell

Crap! Rubbish! Tosh! I have tried to watch it every week but have been totally underwhelmed by the script, the dull acting and slowness of it all. I didn't care about anybody. David Tennant seemed to be morphing into a werewolf week by week. The bonus has been the swarms of visitors arriving at West Bay to spot the locations. That won't take long because they only used a cliff, a caravan park, the newsagents, some blot on the landscape apartments, a methodist hall and a housing estate.

I am glad it is over. Far too long and far too convoluted. I do not mind a red herring or two, but a whole shoal I could do without.

The problem for me was that I simply couldn't not watch after a few episodes. I had to know how it would all end, even though I didn't care. And the 'excuse' for the murder! Weak, so weak.
