Hot and gloriously sunny.

Yesterday was one of the nicest days ever with Gez and Sharon.
They're our dearest friends and we had a wonderful catch up ending with a delicious Indian meal last night.

Today's schedule starts of with a good long walk round Sheldon country park.

Jackie's going to drop us at Robin Hood cemetery where we'll pay respects to Don's parents.

We'll then head to Moseley where we're meeting friends for a traditional Sunday lunch.
I've not had one for absolutely years so I'm looking forward to that.

This evening we're off to King's Heath to meet more friends at an outdoor jazz event.

It’s just right here, sitting outside Corretto’s, we’re in the shade and still warm Round to D’s in a bit, just me and M as Becky and Fraggle stayed home today

Hot, hot, hot

Another very lazy day sitting in the garden for us, far too hot to do much else. I popped a gammon in the slow cooker yesterday so we'll have some of it cold with salad for dinner this evening.

Afternoon all, hazy sunshine here with a bit of a breeze - the sort of day where you could get sunburn without realising. We went for a walk around the block earlier, when we came back Edward organised dinner and made some apple jelly while I tidied round and cleaned the bathrooms. Then I sat in the sun reading for an hour before lunch. Now we are settling down to watch the Open golf with fingers firmly crossed that Rory McIlroy will win.
